Health care has come a long way since whole-body bloodletting. But medicine of the future will make even today’s broad-based therapies obsolete.
Breakthroughs such as cancer-hunting nanoparticles, virus-busting lasers and featherweight heart monitors have begun to usher in a new era of targeted
treatment—one in which drugs go directly where they’re needed, leaving healthy body tissues intact, and the slightest sign of illness is detected
in real time.
Bio-technology is advancing at an ever increasing, rapid, exponential pace. Most of these advanced technology's will be available to average
customers within the next 7-10 years, and will greatly extend average lifespans while dramatically lowering healthcare costs (mostly through enhanced
capabilities of early detection and prevention, as well as shorter recovery times for patients).
Advancements in technology such as bio-tech, will greatly help to ease the healthcare burden that faces this country as well.
This truly is the best time to be alive.
