Space Dementia - feelings of insignificance, insecurity lack of social contact and the astronauts awareness of total isolation from the human race.

is there any famous case of space dementia?

It's a fictional mental disorder from the film Armageddon.

'Feelings of' those things are not, by themselves diagnostic of 'dementia', which is a progressive decline in cognitive function.

There were reports of Mir Astronauts (Russian) that had 'problems', but so far, the longest stay has been a number of months and there were other people with the Astronaut at the time.

In the Russian experiment in a simulated Mars mission, done in an isolated structure on the ground, people were 'acting crazy' after only a few months. But temporary behavior isn't the same as true dementia.

I got into Muse years ago before I got into conspiracies and the like - imagine my surprise when I found out a lot of Muse lyrics are conspiracy-driven!!

As for Space dementia, I guess a lot of us can feel that without even leaving the planet...
