1. The quote above is from a source known personally to me, who receives visions. Every one of his visions has come true so far. I hope he is wrong with this one, but personally I suspect he won't be.

2. I have an article we are preparing for publication in our June-July issue. It is by a researcher who predicts earth changes via the angular relationships of the planets to the Sun (no, I am not talking about astrology - just statistical correlations of note).
This researcher is adamant that June 8-16 is going to see either a huge number of earthquakes, or several large ones. His track record is also more than impressive - and thus I also take him seriously.

3. I note the snide comments have started regarding my motives for joining or posting to ATS. If my posting any information upsets you - then I suggest you grow up a bit. I already have enough money, and get far more than enough attention - these are not the reasons why I publish or post such material.

Well, IMO an earthquake (especially of that magnitude) should have effects on the USA. Wouldn't waves reach the shores of Cali? Or at least Hawaii? Maybe not, i don't know.

Flyersfan: One thing being predicted for USA is a big earthquake for California. With the rise in "random" earthquakes in Reno and the rise of incredibly unecessary condos here in Vegas, a Southern California disaster seem rather likely.

I am interested in what manner this guy recieves his visions/revelations. Any info OP?

An earthquake that size would definitely NOT be an isolated event. I would be extremely surprised if there were not other tectonic events in the 2 weeks beforehand - if not - I would be double surprised if there were not more such events in the two weeks following.
As for more details on the guy and how he gets his visions - forget it. I really hope he is wrong anyway.

Heh... I do love coincidences, but pretty sweet call with this quake.
Makes you wonder if this was just the water going and the plates are gonna give birth to a bigger one in a month. That would devastate the region completely wouldn't it?

This doesn't even qualify as a coincidence IMHO.
The guy predicts it in mid-late June, sized 9.5+, and that it will cause the Olympic Games to be cancelled. He predicts it to be off the coast of China, and that it will send a tsunami roaring inland causing unimaginable damage.

This 7.8 quake is inland, 10km deep, and is 4-6 weeks before the 'window' he predicts.
This quake does bother me though, because with a quake of 9.5+ (which is [snip] huge!!) one would expect some 'trigger' or precursor tectonic events leading up to it. (Either that or something external like an asteroid, or earthquake weapon - if there is one)

Now what are the chances of a NATURAL earthquake hitting in the region this man is predicting? I'm just curious what the odds are. I'm not familiar with earthquake probability so i'm not looking for a certain answer or anything but a 7.5 does seem high enough to relieve pressure for at LEAST a year, let alone a month or two lol. Unless of course there's a scary earthquake weapon that can trigger whatever it wants whenever it wants wherever it wants. Than there'll be trouble (bye bye Cali)
