I didn't say I did. I thought it was interesting China had a low magnitude and it might be a sign of things to come.

Mainer:

Apparently nobody else can predict something. You are the only one who can accurately do it, correct? Duncan's friend predicted something and contrary to Duncan, I feel it still has the possibility to unfurl itself.

I can' get me mind wrapped around ye conclusion.

Come on, you dont really want a 9.0 on the Richterscale to destroy a country and cause suffering, do you??

No news is good news! I'd rather have a bad prediction than one that actually takes-
I do agree, better NO prediction at all, but its too late for that.

I've got Mainer on my ignore list, so I am not sure what slander is he throwing my way. I guess he is still on school holidays somewhere bored at home with nothing better to do than accuse people of being liars and frauds.

But for the record, I still think my friend's vision will unfold as he saw it. I had to be fair though, and point out that MY interpretation of his vision, which is what I put in the OP - did NOT come true as defined, in the time limit specified.

Duncan

Wholeheartedly agree, this thread wreaks of shameless promotion. He claims he is not promoting his magazine yet he mentions it many times and even has a user name of the same name. Your points about the progression of the information provided is line step with a hoax. Same as the recent Alien video evidence that is supposedly proof of alien existence yet, they continue to release small amounts of inconclusive proof and still no actual video.

Then when called on BS, he tries to look innocent claiming he is just trying to warn people and wants to help. And your accused of wanting a 9.0 to hit china. There is not one human on this planet who has been shown to accurately and consistently predict anything besides their own hoaxes.

These claims that he is only trying to warn people to save lives is total BS fear propaganda to sell magazines. So he is trying to help, yet the prediction didnt come true so in reality he may have actually hurt people. What if someone in China read this, took his warning to heart, sold everything in order to get a plane ticket for his/her family out of China, thus putting them in a financial strain that ruined their lives(extreme example but i hope point is made) He also could have caused unnecessary worry and anxiety for anyone who has family or friends in China, for what, to sell rag mags.
And after all this he is still claiming that his "friends" prediction will come true. WTF, the prediction didnt come true, so now the prediction is that at some point in the future there will be a large earthquake in china. WOW, he can accurately predict the natural cycles of the earth and its processes. What next predictions of hurricanes in the gulf states, tornados in the plains, daily tremors on the west coast.

Also funny to note that he says he has you(Mainer) on his ignore list because of your slander and then in the next sentence he attempts to slander you. Just like when someone says: "I dont want to be a jerk but" the sentence that follows is usually them being a jerk.

I've got Mainer on my ignore list, so I am not sure what slander is he throwing my way. I guess he is still on school holidays somewhere bored at home with nothing better to do than accuse people of being liars and frauds.

Mainer, you are such a bully! I disagree with you 100% that the prediction was a hoax. I believe Duncan posted it in good faith and with true sincerity.

Since coming across this thread, I've started watching and learning about earthquakes around the world - it's very interesting!

earthquake.usgs.gov...

Most people are not prepared for a small disaster let alone a catastrophe of a 9.9 earthquake... something like that would effect the entire world. The prediction was an important wake-up call for me and I've been encouraging my friends and colleagues to stock up on extra food and water (including food for pets) and other essential items... they have all been very thankful for the reminder.

So thank you, again, Duncan for posting.

I dont think that people wished that it would happen. But you are not realizing the harm that can come from making false predictions. If we were to take every prediction absolutely serious we could see definite harm from doing that. I made the point in an ealier post, that someone could sell eveything they own and move putting themselves and their family in financial hardship.
Or what about the unnecessary worry that is put upon people who have friends and family in these areas.
If there was any accuracy to any of the millions of predictions made, then we might say that nexus was doing a good deed but the fact is there is no one on this earth who has been shown to accurately or consistantly predict ANYTHING. So, with that said, i would say again that Nexus was just trying to sell magazines and create hype over a vague and harmful prediction.
Whats to stop me from spreading my predictions, even if they do harm to others and never end up coming true. I could spend my days making posts to scare people with propaganda to push my own agenda.

Its one thing to make a prediction when you have no vested interest, but again Nexus owns an "alternative news" magazine and he decides to make his prediction of a serious earthquake on a conspiracy site only to entices people to pick up a copy.

Please tell me something, because I don't understand your reasoning... if you think Duncan is only trying to sell his magazine by posting a prediction under a PREDICTIONS & PROPHECIES thread, why would someone go out and buy his magazine when the prediction didn't come true? Don't you think it would work the other way - if it came true, then we'd all be rushing out to buy the magazine?

If a friend I trusted wholeheartedly came to me with the information that Duncan's friend did, I would also feel compelled to share it in any way I could... that's the responsible thing to do. I am also a publisher and I would never stake the reputation of my company by posting something like that unless I felt it was a serious threat... and I don't think Duncan would do that either.

First off, you're making the assumption that anyone on this planet can accurately or consistantly predict anything. There is no one who can predict things like this, so the act of posting something like this is flawed from the start. Also if you didnt notice he posted this months ago so for two months he gave his magazine exposure and probably got a few subscribers from this post. Nexus is an alternative news magazine, so he is not really sacrificing the integrity of his magazine because there are many predictions in the magazine and most if not all have never come to pass. In fact that is how he sells mags, a catchy headline, doesnt matter if it doesnt come true or not. How do you think The Star and Weekly World News sold magazines. They had a new end of the world prediction on every cover, not one came true and they still sold issues.

Stop assuming that there is anyone who can predict events such as these. No one can, some may stumble onto a correct guess but those things happen to everyone from time to time. Running out and claiming the sky is falling is not productive or helpful to anyone. He is using fear to sell magazines, but i guess if it were that obvious that he was doing that he wouldnt even have a publication.
