Duncan

Would you please supply us with a link to the article? I may have missed it back in the thread somewhere, but I am sure a few of us would appreciate being able to read it for ourselves.

While snide sarcasm might win you prizes amongst your cronies, accuracy surely won't.

He's about as accurate as any psychic. He just has more of a whimsical flair to his predictions.

Ken's article, not that you even read it, predicts a window (June 1-13) wherein he expected a significant amount of increased earthquake activity. He was spot on. Maybe you should have bothered to check facts - and see the USGS list of quakes greater than 5.5 for that period - you will see more than one per day - which is much higher than 'normal' quake activity for that size.

Ok.......I'm going to have to ask you for a link to this article again. No offense but rather than taking your word for it, I'd like to read it. Thanks.

Once again you are just plain wrong - and once again you make your skeptic cause look silly and juvenile. Obviously anyone making any prediction really bugs you for some reason - isn't it time to just get over the fact that this is a free world, and people are still alllowed to make predictions about anything they want. Just how old are you by the way?

How do you know he is wrong? By what standard are you judging? Yes, this is a free world, and he has explained how he makes his predictions. I find his pointing out that there will be an earthquake somewhere in the world is actually the most accurate prediction I have seen in this thread.

What difference does his age make? Does one have to be a certain age to be able to predict earthquakes? If it's a free world, wouldn't that mean that any person of any age should be able to make a prediction?

Whew. Skirted by that one! Very impressive Date prediction! An earthquake, somewhere, between June 1st and 13th. Give that man a prize!

Duncan, Any of us who have been watching the quakes for the last few months could have and have been predicting that. He did not say where or what size so what is the great prediction here?

I don't mind you coming here and making a prediction from one of your friends about a 9.5 as to warn people, If thats what your doing but if you expect us to sit here and watch you solicit your magazine here with outlandish claims with the vaguest prediction in the world then I think your way off. I think you are treading on thin ice. If people want to know who is predicting quakes just check out this thread.

www.abovetopsecret.com...'

You haven't posted in that thread once so It looks to me if your only concern is promoting your magazine here at ATS. Don't bash Mariner for not reading your magazine about your vague prediction. If you can not share the info in your magazine here at ATS then don't at all, Got it?

I wonder if you have bothered to actually read all of this thread. Obviously not, so I'll summarise some pertinent bits:
- I posted a prediction on the Prediction board and started a new thread.
- I answered some questions, copped assertions that I am only in this for money, and others that I am outright hoaxing it all etc
- I clarified the exact details of the prediction, and described why I put my own interpretations on the predictor's window of time. This involved revealing another person's predictions, one who uses some maths to derive his windows of time for activity, but not for 'where' he expects them to happen.
- I posted a list of hits regarding this other predictor, whose name is Ken Dickman
- Mainer comes back and brags that he has spotted I am a hoax, generally accuses me of lying, and mocks Ken's prediction. He hasn't bothered to even look Ken up on the net, let alone read his published paper on the matter, yet he mocks it regardless
- you don't need to read my magazine to follow this thread, otherwise I would have put a link to the article. I didn't post any such link or reference, because it isn't needed, and because I didn't want to be seen as being 'commercial'.
- I haven't posted the prediction to the other thread, because I am getting enough accusations of lying, hoaxing and commercialism on this one.

As for your last whiny comment - sorry chum, I'll post what I like here, when I like, and about anything I like. If you can't handle that, then that is your problem.

Duncan

PS: Oh yeah, I forgot that I am here to shamelessly tell everyone how wonderful my magazine is, so here it is.
I am the proud owner and publisher and editor of Nexus Magazine. It has been going for over 20 years, is published in many countries and languages, and guess what? - most of the intelligent people on ATS read it regularly.

I would be interested in reading the published paper on the matter. Would you be so kind as to supply a link for those of us who have been following your thread?

You have mentioned the article in your thread, thereby advertising. So, I would appreciate a link to that article.

Well, it is June 19th, and so far no 9.5 in China. Here is hoping your friend is completely wrong, and when this person is proven to be wrong, are you going to publish an article in your magazine about it?

As for your last whiny comment - sorry chum, I'll post what I like here, when I like, and about anything I like. If you can't handle that, then that is your problem.

You are not the only participant in the thread. So, by what you have just said, Mainer should be able to post his opinions also. This thread is just your opinion based on a prediction by a psychic other than yourself, correct?

What qualifies you to judge the intelligence of anyone?

Sincerely I never found in my whole life such a rude way, a worst comment that this one, to express rejection about Extrasensorial Perception.

It was not Karl Jung, the famous Swiss Psyquiatrist of the begining of XX century the father of the so called collective Subconscient theory to explain the paranormal pheonomenon also the founder of the Analytical psicology?

It was not Mitchel of Nostradamus a reputed physician in France during the XVI, famous for his research about the origin and cure of the plague?

It was not Harold Sherman a aknowledged Author & sport journalist also one of the most powerful telepats of the first half of the XX century too?

It is not Dr Lozanov a Bulgarian educator and psychologist who developed suggestopedia, one of the founders of the modern suggestiology, psyquiatric disciplines, also a suporter of the Power of the Subconscious mind?.

It is not Dr Alfonso Caycedo, the other founder of the Sophrology, a branch of neurological medicine that studies the human consciousness and its positive modifications, a so vehement defendor of the power of the mind in the causes and cures of many illnesses?

How many more important & serious researchers in Parapsicology must I mention to allow some of the members of BTS or ATS to accept that the psychics are also educated people?

I think any way it would be better to say right brain educated or left brain educated people, that would be a more fair & respectful way, as Jose Silva, inventor of the Control Mind systems, the first scientific method of meditation in Texas should say.

thanks for your atention,

The Angel of lightness .

Just so you are clear, I never made that comment. That line you selected which looks like it is my quote, is actually part of a question directed to me, not from me.

Not that it has anything really to do with my friend's prediction either.

8 more days. We'll see if this does indeed come true. I wonder if it doesn't come true will nexus stick around or desert ATS?

I really don't understand why some people have been giving Duncan such a difficult time for posting a prediction under the PREDICTIONS & PROPHECIES thread. He posted a prediction from a friend he trusts; he could have done it anonymously. For some to say he's doing it to increase sales of his magazine doesn't make the least bit of sense to me! It's a prediction... take it or leave it people! Duncan, thank you for posting.

MY spin on my friend's prediction expires on June 30. If that prediction I posted on my friend's behalf fails to materialise, then I will be most happy indeed that millions and millions of people did not die etc.

However, my friend will be 'right' if ALL the following happens:

1) A size 9.9 Richter Scale earthquake
2) centred off the coast of China
3) causes a 50m high wall of water to race inland
4) causes the cancellation of the Olympic Games this year

I explained earlier what differentiated my spin from my friend's actual vision, and why I put it in. Obviously those on this thread with short attention spans find this hard to understand.

And don't worry, I'll be sticking around ATS for as long as ATS will have me as a member - so no need for your whiny concerns about my motives.

Duncan,

I just read 3/4 of this thread and i would rather nothing happened at anytime, that would please me greatly. As far as i'm concerned, you will not be discredited- you're the messenger.
Some here will be very dissapointed if nothing happens, some have that morbid desire for catastrophes and such. Some would love to tear you apart if nothing happens, but i hope you understand those people are overwhelmed with FEAR.

The number 16 is forever on my mind, Also a Tuesday is very prominent in my thoughts.
I cant shake the Tuesday the 16th thing...ever. As far as pain, i have had terrible pain in my back and entire body for awhile.
I also have visions of being underwater (at home)
i live on the East Coast. Right over the ocean in Cape Cod. (This will make Mainer happy)

We are in for something alright, i dont know if anyone can put a precise date on it or not- some say 8/8/08 is definatly the day of reckoning.

Anyway, i think you're providing a service by telling what you know, and have heard, and if it can save a few lives, you will have done a good deed.
If it doesnt happen, then we should celebrate

do you think that present tech really could predict such earthquake?

I am so glad I got my answer on this last page and didn't have to go back to when we started this.

The Op. Stuck to his guns. He said clearly what the prediction is. There is no wiggle room. He knows that his friend will either remain 100% correct with his predictions or dead wrong on this one.

I can't fathom how this thread has gone 12 pages. He gave us a text book prediction. Shut up and wait to see what happens.

If you can find my last post somewhere on this thread it says about the same thing. I only came back because people kept posting so I thought maybe the Op bailed out or was doing the hoaxter shuffle. He hasn't I see, so once again, leave the guy alone. Does he need to entertain you people while we wait or something?

as nexus depicted. if it is true, the earthquake should occure at about 23 o'clock in Chinese timezone.
because nexus's friend said it occure at morning in US time. due to the different timezone. the Chinese time should be about midnight.

Found this great website. People interested in earthquakes, other natural/unnatural disasters or the utter state the world is in should really check this out.

hisz.rsoe.hu...

Its a site which shows all(?) ongoing disasters e.g. earthquakes, but also volcanos, biological hazards, floods, serious epidemics etc. Its updated as events happen, some stay on the map for a while and others (like minor earthquakes) disappear after a day or so.
The number of events showing up has really jumped over the last week..before the board was relatively clear compared to now. Earthquakes seemed to peak saturday and sunday, covering the map over greece, turkey and italy; in the top west corner of the map (canada?) and smaller clusters appearing all over. Fairly major ones (5 magnitude and up) randomly scattered about. They're falling off now but still seems far too many events in general. Anyone whos aware of the increasing frequency of earthquakes, this is a great way to monitor the situation.

This prediction thing sounds genuine enough (it would tho wouldn't it) but it wont change anything. People won't leave their homes and jobs behind on the basis of some guys prediction will they. You say the gov believes this bloke..I assume this is the american gov, which lets face it, alot of the time is too arrogant/greedy to accept the advice of respected scientists...a few years ago they didn't accept climate change existed despite multiple scientists predictions - now they're ready to 'lead the world' on the issue. So I spose now they're going to 'lead the world' on the psychic plane too.

Anyway, dont you think china would have its own 'psychics' if such things exist (and I'm not refuting they do)..theres enough of them over there.

I'm certain we're rolling towards something catastrophic but this is not it...
I'd be more concerned with what we're gonna DO about the mass extinction thats taking place (est. 100 species A DAY disappear forever), rather than what some guy 'dreamt' 'might' happen. But that takes just a bit too much effort.. much easier simply waiting for something to happen isn't it.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting and a star for you.

I also find it extremely interesting that they would even try to list car accidents on there. Even if it is only "when at least 5 persons affected in the accident."

For those in San Fran/Sac (northern) or L.A. (Southern) areas of California, check out www.sigalert.com (Phoenix, Arizona is in there too.)

It's the same idea. The events are only on so long as the CHP is on it, but it's only local.

On a world scale, to include vehicle accidents just seems like an impossible task to me. I definitely can't say anything bad about them for trying though.

Thanks again.

Sorry if that was off topic. I was going to ask a question, but I'm sure it's something I can find myself. If I don't find an answer, I'll ask it later.

Duncan, Your friend sounds as thow he is a Prophet or one that can see in the days ahead!
I also believe this, but cannot give the exact dates, China is certain to be a hot spot-also watch the eastern part of the u.s.a. From florida up to new york. what do think would happen if a large quake hit near florida in the ocean. Could it take thousands of lives with a huge wave?

So I had a dream... I have no idea if it was a prescient one or simply the mind pouring over what I have read before as well as concern for the well-being of a godson who is working in Shanghai.

In the dream it is the end of June or early July. The earthquake is 9.75 at an estimated depth of 60 miles. Draw a triangle from Qingdao to Shanghai and across to Nagasaki. In the dream the earthquake took place right there.
