And at the bottom you place the last numbers from a link from your favourite thread so for example take this very thread from the link below just put in the numbers at the end of the link in...

www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread353530/pg196

Just put those numbers in and in this example it’s the numbers 353550 and it should show on your profile page.

Hey thanks! I think I can manage that! I'll go see..........

edit: I realize this is not an ATS issue, but only a ladyinwaiting -as- inept issue. But problems get solved on this thread fast. I like fast.
Thanks again.

G'day there....

Is it possible to "un-friend" someone?

Suppose you select someone as a friend & they turn out to be a lunatic (or similar)........

Can you "un-friend" them.

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

If you go to your member profile > account settings you will see a list of your friends and foes on the left of the page. Next to each one there's a little red x, click it and it unfriends/unfoes.

I posted a question a while ago that seems to have been missed so I'll ask it again...

Why has "DENY IGNORANCE" been removed from the ATS logo.

Im going to guess its because the community use the phrase like a pole to beat each other with.

Many changes are in the offing.

Stay tuned.

"DENY IGNORANCE" is still the motto of our site. It's just not as prominent as it was once because of aesthetic design issues. It's still around though on certain pages.

Springer...

Question:
Would it make sense to drop the Swine Flu from the Diseases and Pandemics forum title?
It seems that Swine Flu should not be the central point of that forum... though I understand why it was initially so...Thoughts?

*not a big deal really, just curious*

Ok, there's something we need to to talk about ...

Something big ... the giant platypus in the room that's been bothering us and eating away at the core of ATS and all that we hold dear!

Why, oh why can we not double space after a period?

What's the problem here?

After a period there are TWO spaces not one, yet we are reduced to living this syntaxtic (tm pending) nightmare, keeping us awake at night shivering in the corner of the room.

I try to put two spaces and are foiled with every post, each time a little piece of myself and the grammatical universe dying inside all of us.

There ar TWO spaces between sentences ...

You see the problem?

This has bothered me for awhile as well...is that why you used a sentence for each 'paragraph' above...

You are wrong about everything, sdog.

One space after commas and periods is just fine. Two spaces would just look strange.

PS.

Surveillance is a very.... evil thing. I'm pretty sure the people who are engaging in it will all be going straight to hell.

I don't see any problem.

Why? It's the first time I read something like that.

You see the problem?
No,  I  don't   see  what's  your  problem.

Maybe   if   you   try   to   write   more   slowly   and   carefully   things    also   slow   down   and   you   get   more   space   for   your   sentences.

Seriously, why do you want that? It's just a waste of space.
