The trial of Naveed Afzal Haq has started April 14th, 2008.

Six women were shot - one fatally - this afternoon at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle by a man who told a witness he was upset about "what was going on in Israel."

"We believe it's a lone individual acting out his antagonism," said David Gomez, who heads the FBI's counterterrorism efforts in Seattle.

Does this go deeper than a disturbed individual? Or is this just "Another case of sudden jihad syndrome" by a muslim taking his religion too seriously?

This is too strange.

A 'muslim' goes into a known Jewish FEDERAL office, and deliberately states that the motive was because of Israel.

The article states that the Muslim person barged his way through security, spoke his words, THEN started shooting.

Let me tell you something. In Toronto, for the Israeli Consulate, the security guard will make you strip down to your boxers if he suspects you're wearing something under your clothes, or if you keep setting off the metal detector.

Even if someone wanted to barge their way in, they'd be unsuccessful.

How can he get by security so quickly?

The Jewish Federation building has tight security, with gates and buzzers, puzzling many who go there as to how the gunman entered.

He purchased two hand guns 3 days prior to the shooting. In Washington State we have a three day waiting period when it comes to buying guns. When he got to Seattle he held a gun to the back of a 14 year old girls head. The girls aunt worked at the federation and was able to contact her for entry via intercom. Once Haq was in the building he started shooting random women, including one who was pregnant at the time. It's incredible that they weren't all killed.
