Edited 'cause I found a host for the file.
Heres a link to the full sized image.
rapidshare.com...
Here is the bad paint drawing done to show rough detail.
It was 80 feet across as a rough estimate. Had a 20 second approaching view, and 10 seconds receding view till it dropped into clouds so not going
that fast at all - but still ....

OK. There you go. As for the 'why wait till now ?' questions as to post ? To keep my wife sweet.

Looks a lot like a Polecat. I thought it was only a tech demonstrator, but maybe not. It has a 90 foot wingspan, and it fits the description
nicely.

ETA: No, it's not a B-2. Look at the trailing edge of a B-2. It's a sawtooth, where this just comes back into one point.

enlarge the image.
Its not a B2 - this had a rounded rear, curved inlet shields and was unmanned - the picture shows there is no cockpit but my apologise for not stating
it clearly.
The exhausts also had curved shielding that followed the contour of the rear of the craft.

Uh huh it does indeed. Add a shielded rear exhaust and intakes, a tiny bit further apart as well and thats bang on the money shape wise.

It definitely is NOT a B-2 of an F-117. The rear edge of the wing gives it away as being neither.

No need to apologize for it. I was in the process of saying it was a B-2 when the trailing edge of the wing caught my brain. I just happen to hang
around here all the time and was around when the Polecat hit the news. Hopefully Intelgurl will see this thread and drive by and tell what it is.

I'll let you know if I hear anything. If it is a Polecat, I doubt I'd learn anything as the only known airframe was a write-off before this date.

The polecat is long crashed and im sure about that but the project status not so sure. though I recall intelgurl said it was cancelled. I'll see if
i can dig it up again. but the main idea was to build a stealth UAV is a tight timeframe on budget and get it flying so I wouldn't be surprised if it
was cancelled. Nothing saying though it couldn't be similar tech.
I do have to add i feel that the image that is first linked to though is VERY B-2. yes your description is quite different but the image if untouched
can't lie and I can point out what i think are a couple of points on that back end of the image though they do blue together.
Also what where you flying in and where too?

The Polecat that we KNOW about anyway. I wonder if it went black. The description is almost perfect for the Polecat. I can't find anything on it
from later than March of 2007 when they talk about the crash. Most of the information is from the unveiling in July of 06.

They're close, but not quite. Look at the positioning of the intakes. The one he describes has a pair of intakes on either side of the
centerline.
The Neuron has one intake right on centerline.
The Barracuda is just wrong, the intake is on top of the fuselage.
The fuselage shape of the Darkstar and wings are wrong as well.
None of the others have pictures to compare to.
