Questions on indigo children

Hello, i have a few questions about the indigo children:

1) What is a Indigo Child?

2) How do you know you are an Indigo Child? Do you find out in a dream? Spirtual encounter?

3) What is the purpose of the Indigo Children? Is there a special mission, quest, etc.?

I'll gladly accept anwsers

1. A child with an indigo aura. Assuming there is such a thing.
2. Either you can see your own aura, or get someone who can see your aura.
3. Have no idea.
