USAF grounds T-38 fleet after 2nd crash in 8 days

I couldn't find a thread on this subject, point me in the right direction if one has already been started.


"Until we have more complete understanding of the causes of both accidents, it's prudent to stand down the T-38s" said General William R. Looney III, the commander who issued the order.

The Air Force has about 500 of the aircraft in its inventory. Source


It's been a rough six months for the Air Force. First the F-15s and then the B-2s and now this.

I'll see if I can find anything official from the Air Force.

A local news channel states that the deceased pilot's were American and the aircraft crashed on the runway during approach.
