Hello! I have noticed for a number of years now that when i am either in a state of concentration or thinking about something important to me the
lights start to flicker around me.
I know what your thinking its probably coinsidense?
Well at first i thought it was just my eyes but then my friend noticed it and actually got pretty freaked out about it! Now he has gotten used to it
and takes no notice.
I need some people to tell me what it is and how i can controll it. If possible...
I have heard of mediums that i give off an extreme amount of energy and that i am in tune with other peoples emotions like i can feel what they are
feeling at times.
Also i have heard it could be kinetic energy and i have too much being given off.
Someone below me said he had a friend with similar but extreme abilities but his story reminds me of a tv programme i once watched!
This is real...

Very helpful!
Covers absolutely everything i wanted to hear! The only issue i am having trouble with is feeling other peoples emotions? It can get me realy down
sometimes if i watch someone who is having a realy bad time especialy as i go college in a busy city!
Could it be extreme empathy?

If you feel bad about something maybe it's because you're doing something wrong or you're not doing what you feel that you should be doing.
Like if you put a hand over a flame and didn't feel the pain you would
let it carbonize, or if you didn't feel the hunger you might not understand why you're slowly dieing.

Maybe or maybe not. I do understand what OP is saying. I could feel it when someone else is sad or depressed. That's why I tend to stay away from
people as much as I can.
There's this one person I used to visit all the time. It was so bad the air in his house was so thick. I always tried to keep the visit short. It
felt like there was a black smoke all around this person.

Well what i experience is nothing like that!
When i start to experience the persons feelings its like im being forced to feel what they are feeling.
However i think i have an extreme case!
Taken from wikipedia
Empathy (from the Greek εμπάθεια, transliterated as empatheia, meaning "physical affection, partiality") is commonly defined as feeling
or expressing emotion for another. Since the states of mind, beliefs, and desires of others are intertwined with their emotions, one with empathy for
another may often be able to more effectively define another's mode of thought and mood. Empathy is often characterized as the ability to "put
oneself into another's shoes", or to in some way experience the outlook or emotions of another being within oneself, a sort of emotional
resonance.

Yea yours seems to be extreme. I have high empathy for others. I always feel hurt when I see somebody gets hurt and thinks its my fault as if I
somehow caused that person to get hurt.
BTW, I did experience street lights flickering or going out when I walk under them. Could be coincidence I dont know but it does happen often.

Yeah well like asala said that could be SLIDERS.
I think having the empathy ability is a burden and should be controlled! as it could lead to deep depression and other illnesses if not sought to!
I find hospitals to realy drain me

Actually I've always been prone to deep depression. I used to see psychiatrists all the time and take meds for my depression. But Im better now
because Im all alone
You are right, empathy is a burden. I have not learned to control it fully yet.

yeah, I meant that maybe you feel like that because you want to help them or you are supposed to or you just think that you should...
so I would say just try to help them, but I know that it seems easy and simple with words, while you probably would end up drowning with them if you
didn't know what you're doing and if they were in a really bad situation...

Yea you are right. It's easier said than done. Every time I try to help those people, they usually pull me down and I always come out exhausted and
had to sleep long time.
