I see 11:11 everywhere!

This may sound wierd but around 2 months ago I started seeing 11:11 everyday. I would get up in the middle of the night and happen to glance at the clock and see it, see it on the computer clock, at work, in the car. Sometimes I will catch other times like 9:11 or 2:11, ect. Allways an 11. I see this now on the average of 5 times a day. Does this happen to anybody else on ATS? What do you think it means, if anything other than a coincidence?- Thanks

Yup. I've seen 11:11 for many years. Almost everyday in fact. Sometimes I would drive and never see any bank with the clock sign in sight until I go past one and it always says 11:11.

it's been happening to me all of my life. Not 100% sure what it means. I've had a few scenarios where it didn't even involve a clock or a watch.

I think a lot of times we subconsciously keep track of 11:11 things. It's kind of weird when we actually realize that our 11:11 subconscious is doing this. If you've ever done self-hyptnosis, you're 11:11 a bit familiar with setting up subconscious triggers. They 11:11 can be a help, but after a while, your mind 11:11 realizes it's just a game you're tricking it into playing and gets 11:11 kind of lazy and you fall out of the practice. 11:11

Its a wake up call and you're synchronized. If you're noticing it alot, it's because you're conscious of it now, it's because you're supposed to. It's very real. I see it all the time, and not just on clocks.

I googled it, and it lead me to the Mayans and the whole 2012 concept. Why? Supposedly at 11:11 on 12/23/12 (the winter solstice) the Mayan calendar ends. It then occurred to me that it's a spiritual thing; an attempt to increase consciousness. IOW it's good for you, nothing to be too concerned about.

Go with it, you're on the right path....

I've said it many times so here I go again.

At 11 seconds after the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the year 2011 the time will be:

11:11:11:11:11:11

Don't be looking at the clock when that happens or you'll pop your noodle.

Puuuhleaze!!! Google said it, so it must be true?

People notice 11:11 because it's one of the few numbers that forms a regular pattern that the brain can interpret as either a number, a word, or a pattern. That's enough to pique our subliminal interest, and focus our attention on it. Then, when it happens to you once, or if you hear about it on ATS or Google, you'll forget the times you look at the clock when it isn't 11:11, and only remember the "strikes".

It's a self-fulfilling, meaningless, prophecy. It means nothing. No-one is "synchronised", it's just people ignorant of how the human mind works, our pattern recognition proclivities, and a willingness to believe in any old notion dressed up as fact and slung in one's face.

Saying it's angels or anything else is ridiculous.

I also see these numbers. It was 5:11 while I was reading this. Creepy, but I like. I still can't see a meaning on it. I wish someday the answer will fall to my lap, because I really don't know how to work it out.

I guess you're not synchronized then. You must be a mind expert...

And although yours is a well thought out and written statement I never suggested that because it's on google it must be true. (however I'm sure you've used google once or twice to research something, hey mate?)

Oh, and I never claimed any of it to be facts of any kind either. I was aware of it way before coming to ATS, not that I have to explain this to you. But Ill keep going; my curiosity about seeing these numbers at the most random of times is what prompted me to research it to see if it was something other people noticed...and wouldn't you know it.

Just because I've interpreted it to mean something that is somewhat spiritual or non scientific (or is it) doesn't make me or anyone else who is curious about it ignorant. Please man. And although the mind may pick up on nicely laid out patterns it doesn't quite explain the complete randomness of seeing those particular patterns over and over.

So step down off of your horse Napoleon and try not to take life so seriously.

This is ATS for pete's sake.

This very morning I woke up and rolled over to look at the clock. It was 5:05.

In my sleepy state though it appeared to be SOS and as I drifted back to sleep I dreamed my clock was drowning and I needed to rescue it.

What this site really needs is a decent dream interpretor.

I used to be haunted by numbers, they only resonate when you give them power. Attach numerical value to single double or trible digits or more only sets you up for recognizing them or doing math and connecting things adding them to the equation. I used to look at my digital watch at 11:11 almost every day for a short awhile even twice a day wait for it look forward to it and get some strange sense of satisfaction when I would shut my eyes and try to see the numbers with my minds eye. The greatest was Nov. 11th at 11:11 and 11 seconds 10 11's or 20 1's on every single digit of my watch. Creepy, I thought I was the only one, but that was years ago. Creepy.

Seriously though...I dont even look for it. It just happens and I dont consider myself very spiritually connected. In fact i'm probably as spiritual as an alluminum toilet seat. I guess it it's meant to be revealed it will. I did have dreams when I was a kid of being in a mad max type of survival environment. Maybe the end is near?

I completely agree with you - I just think you've overlooked one thing - the human being's incredible ability to discard information it doesn't deep important. You must consciously filter out numbers all day. You're most likely doing it now - look around your screen for numbers - I bet you didn't notice them, unless they are some pattern you look out for. Now when that pattern is in your peripheral vision, your subconscious mind will elevate that to something you need to be aware of, just like what happens when (and I'm speaking from experience) someone who's scared of spiders walks into a room with one on the floor - you might see something out of the corner of your eye, and instantly your full attention is drawn to it. It's the same thing with your numbers - you want to see them, and so you only "accidentally" focus on numbers when that pattern emerges. You also most likely don't even remember numbers you've seen that don't match the pattern - it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I get on my high horse because this is supposed to be for paranormal research, and all we end up is baseless conjecture, most of which is easily illustrated as misguided through a simple review of evidence out there. It's rubbish like "Electric Aliens" and the like that really hinders this field. As long as people pass out their own opinions as some sort of purported fact, the field will not be taken seriously. I know it's fun to think some of these things are real, and I'd love them all to be real, it's doing a great disservice to our peers, and to those who follow us, to sully our discussion table with rampant wishing.

But then that's just me

You just notice it more. Just like when you see other people driving the same car as you - it stands out and you take notice. You only remember the cars you've seen that are the same as yours - the rest you can't remember.

Ignoring the very rational, understood mechanisms that we all possess, and substituting some very complicated trans-ethereal conspiracy/message is about as far from "study" as one can get. You don't hear microbiologists ascribing unforseen chemical reactions as the work of pixies, yet in this field it seems de rigueur.
