Knee-jerk reactions aside, this is a very good idea. It provides jobs, and a place for people to go. Two things that are desperately needed there. And the construction of the park doesn't take away from efforts to rebuild/refurbish the schools and infrastructure. In fact, this very thing will benefit both.
