"There is no security force in Afghanistan that people trust," said Afghan parliamentarian Ramazan Bashardost. "If you pay attention to yesterday's incident, the security forces fled the area before the ordinary people did."

Originally when i heard the news reports there was only 1 death and a dozen wounded, it would seem that two of those wounded have not survived the ordeal.

It also says on that website that "From a clear military perspective, the Taliban has failed to acheive it's objectives".

From a clear military perspective, i'd say that whoever it was who said that little tidbit is an idiot.

If their objective was to kill members of parliment or civilians, they could have quite easily done that using the tried and tested method of suicide bombing, after all.
