on that page there,is a picture taken by a nasa satellite. It seems to show something moving through the clouds, leaving a pattern behind it. Looks like a circular object at the end of it.

Couple of similar cloud formations I found. I have no idea how these form but it is possible that this is a naturally occuring phenomona. Interesting.

I believe the disc shapes in both are actually islands.

Could be,but then I'd presume that there're lots of pictures like this around? I suppose knowing the name of the anomoly would help search for pictures.

We have some experts in meteorology/clodwatchers so i guess that soon we'll get a trained opinion about this odd phenomenon.

But the phenomenon is genuine, and actually amazing

I've sent a u2u to one of our experts: he's online now.
I hope to hear his opinion ASAP.

I post some enhancements: the first one is an enlargement of the image in the OP, the second one is a detail of the image from WikiPedia, which caption reads:

NASA satellite image (MODIS imager on board the Terra satellite) of a wave cloud forming off of Amsterdam Island in the far southern Indian Ocean. Image taken on December 19, 2005.

Yes they are. What the picture shows is a fairly rare phenomena known as a cloud wake.

Good explanation here:

earthobservatory.nasa.gov...

I can understand why someone might thing it's caused by an object moving through the cloud, rather than the cloud moving against a fixed object, though
