static on monitor when browsing the forums

i get headaches and "the Ring" type static on my monitor when i browse these forums, anyone else notice this(its freaking me out)

No, haven't noticed anything. It's probably just your monitor, nothing to do with the forums.

that usually happens when you have your monitor on for long periods at a time, and some of it is your eyes.

press around on the buttons and do that degauss thing

As GeniusSage suggests, try degaussing your monitor and check if there's anything close to the monitor that *might* be producing a magnetic field eg a speaker or something similar that might be interfering with the picture quality

Also, does this interference *only* happen on ATS or do you get the same type of thing on other web pages or when you're running other programs, for example?
