The Chiltern Hundreds refers to an office that MP who are quieting(SP?) the House of Commons apply for due to some old law on the books that hasn't been changed.

More of my thoughts later.

Nixon lost to JFK after having been Ike for eight years . Despite this Nixon was given a 2nd shot and won the 1968 election . Mondale was a disaster as candidate he only won one state so maybe he isnt the best example to of a candidate in terms of discussing 2nd chances .

It is possible that one of the candidates has all the superdelegates wrapped up and the dems are running the race just to keep the Republicans guessing . My view of the pope is that unless you are a Catholic he is at best an irrelevant figure . I am willing to listen to the views of more local religious leaders who aren't nut jobs such as those who make up the Destiny Church. My interest was sparkled recently when a Bishop who was appointed in Christchurch supports gay marriage .

The twenty one gun salute to the Pope was just pandering to Catholic voters . It isnt a smart idea to upset or risk as being perceived to have shown a lack of respect to any voting block in an election year.

We are working hard behind the scenes to get interviews. Dave and Johnny may steer somebody in our direction every now and then, but we've got to rely on our own wits for most of what we book.

Think about this for a moment. There is no other widely circulated politics show that wants your pick for guests. We're already making waves due to our non-partisan P.O.V., so now its time to swamp the competition and leave them in our wake.

Politicians and people who work for politicians are just afew of the people you might like to hear from. Business owners, entertainers, and regular every day workin' folks have their own thoughts on politics. In the months to come, we're going to do more than break the mold. We're going to throw it out. We'll bring you interviews from people you never expected to hear from (take that how you will).

Do you own your own business? Do you work for a government agency? Is there an ATS member you'd like to to grill? Are you a porn star? The possibilities are not limited by your imagination.

It's no accident that there's a link between politics and conspiracy. That's just one more reason for you to like the AP Show. Wanna be famous? Tell us what you knwo, who you know, and we'll do the rest.

Well, if you want to talk politics and conspiracy, how about G. Gordon Liddy and/or John Dean? Preferably both at the same time as if that'll ever happen.

I'd like to know what exactly, if anything, the bugging of the DNC office was expected to produce. If it was all just a fishing expedition, what kind of fish were they hoping to catch? Policy points? Ohio campaign strategy? Mrs. O'Brien's bran muffin recipe?

Show sounds superb, btw.

Martin and I appreciate the praise. I personally owe a debt of gratitude to Dave Rabbit for his iron will and saintly patience in putting up with my lack of understanding. It's not easy to learn stuff like this by "long distance."

I was able to reach soembody who knows Liddy, but he's not doing interviews. The company that owns his show is syndicating "best of," which causes some people to think he is still on the air.

You might be surprised to know who we are asking for interviews. I'm not shy. Asking and getting are two different things.

Next week's interview will be our first non-ATS effort. Some day, I may tell you what we had to do to get this one. It's actually kinda fun to try and get interviews. We get asked for press kits, and other credentials. The most often asked question is, "what station are you on? I'd like to listen to you on the radio for a while be-fore I make any committments."

As our subscriber base improves, we'll have more resources to draw on. That, and our improving "street cred" will allow us to get more interivews that'll blow your mind. If we can stay on top of this, people will eventually start calling us, "say I'd really like to be on your show..."

I would like to hear Therese Arseneau interviewed on the AP Show . Therese Arseneau is a Senior Fellow at the University of Canterbury. Her field is Political Science. Link .
