In fact this is the textbook case for such prosecution, it will be interesting to see how this develops, if that bill becomes law, there will be precious little they can do 'redefine this'. Instant precedent setting stuff - couldn't have been more convenient if it was planned that way, huh?

Rush like Michael Savage are delusional paranoid pukeblasters.

This rant of Rush's about riots is his projection of his own fear of the
grass roots American people who will definitely be showing up at his
door to riot. Savage and Rush are currently outfitting their homes as
fortresses because they know that the American people are waking up.

And that they have been the sock puppets for the evil and destructive path
that has brought the country into a downward spiral.

I have never heard of anyone as insecure as Rush and Savage.
Oh wait Heil Hannity comes to mind.

no No NO! Not riots in Denver...riots at Rush's house. FL, so much more fun and sunny...and if we can make Rush that much more inconvenienced, all the better. Operation Chaos in Rush's daily life. Fat Bastard.

The Democrats and liberals are never going to actually listen to what Limbaugh says so here is a transcript of the caller that accused Rush of inciting riots which IMHO he did not. Rush said that Sharpton said that he will encourage demonstrations this summer at the Denver convention. Now what does demonstrations mean? They had a lot of demonstrations at the Detroit Democratic Convention and you all remember what happened then! So Sharpton is the one promising trouble if the super delegates go against the will of the people and vote in Hillary instead of their black hero Obama.
I don't see where Republicans, Rush, Hannety, Savage or any other conservative has much to do with this. The Democrats are doing it to themselves. If anyone is racist it's their own party in this case!
Edit to add that Bill Clinton seems to be doing his best to aggrivate the black voters.

Rush is so full of # that I find it hard to believe that anyone listens to him.
Still yet another sensationalist headline that isn't accurate.

If anyone finds the soundbite please post it. I will look for it as well.

As for Sharpton, I would like to hear the soundbite of his statement as well. He is nothing more then a racist and Obama should not hesitate to not only disassociate himself from him, but also condemn his statement.

Rush L. and Alex J. needs to pair up, they might actually talk each other's ears off long enough to forget to go on the air for a moment.

No but seriously, The only time you see any riots in Denver is if the Broncos, Avalanche or Nuggets (seldom with the Nugs) win the championships... or maybe if CU wins, then that's mostly Boulder...

I don't see any riots in Denver in Aug due to Rush's big mouth.
If we are going to riot it will be amonst ourselves trying to find a way to pass them bikers that take up most of the road, yes we had to give them their own lane... hehe, however, I'm one of them now, or atleast after the $4.00 a gallon hits

Except now that POT is legal in the City-n-County of Denver... I bet most will take the slack approach and let them SUV lovers take on the Rioting...

Did you even read the thread? Please people, do not post while drinking or lighting up. Just kidding! Sort of...

They are talking about how Rush may (or may not) have encouraged people to riot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August.

Not today. Not this week.

I think this is a fine example of the fear and panic in the minds of republicans these days. They are so afraid that a democrat is going to win the election, they are making desperate attempts to keep that from happening. They cannot come up with valid reasons to elect their man, so they do the only thing they can do and play dirty politricks.

What is it with you people? You know we have had democratic presidents before and survived.

Leading others to do wrong from a position of power is un excusable.

thats the problem, we are living in a 21st century world with 10th century ways to handle things.........

our only savior is us.

I would trade my last four months posts to have thought of that!

*edit: I invoke double quote protection as that would have read oddly without the two quotes together. This fullfills all the requirements of the post more than a single line rule.

Not that I disagree with you, but of the 3 top choices right now for POTUS, which one actually served in the military? During time of war no less.

I listen to Rush everyday after I get out of class and make my way to work. That media piece does not show him calling for riots. That is not what operation chaos is about. I think it is silly to think that he would be calling for such things. If you listen even every now and then you would know he would not do that.

On a side note, my candidate is and always will be Ron Paul. He is what this country needs. Someone not afraid to stand up to the constitution and the socialist trying to run our country into the ground.

Regards,

Aaron

By the time this whole thing is said and done and all of the fringe elements in the Democratic party have their say in thing, the whole debacle will have moderate middle American voters so terrified that it will cause a landslide victory for Mccain. It pains me to say it but the Repugs are going to sit on the sidelines instigating and watch as this primary race turns into a three ring media circus event.

Clinton and her supporters and Obama and his supporters viciously and publically attacking each other will only serve to convince most voters (who are already nervous) to vote for the same old same old...after all when confronted with change and uncertainty the average voter will cling to what they know...what in their eyes is a safe bet, even if it means more of the same crapolla. John Mccain is going to benefit heavily from all of this Democrat muck raking and he wont have to lift a finger to do so. Brilliant strategy really. Brace yourselves for four more years of GOP downturn.

actually, the more I listen to the news media on tv, the more I wonder if they aren't deliberately setting something like this up. obama's been their golden child is seems....a primary win guaranteed! very seldom any mention of those two states that are up in the air...way too much interest in those all powerfull superdelegates and their ability to take the decision away from the voter. if an african american is beaten by the police in LA, there's riots in the streets for a few days, white men are beaten by the police quite often also, but never see any riots started about them. I have been finding myself a little concerned lately really. if city wide riots are the result when one man is beaten, what will be the result if the african americans get the impression that the dem nomination was taken unfairly from the golden child? nationwide rioting in the streets? several have stated that this would be very bad for the party.....I would like to suggest that this would be very bad for the nation! Bush would probably declare martial law and well......an in depth investigation to determine the true nominee which would take forever, making him the permanant king of the good ole USA, like many seem to be expecting. I would just like to point out now....destroying your neighbor's business and setting his home on fire while he burns your car up and busts every window in you home is gonna solve absolutely nothing! it's just gonna make you and your neighbor a little poorer??

but, if there is riots in the future over this thing, I think it was a set up, that was being put into place at least as far back as when the dem leadership in all their infallible wisdom, decided to disenfranchised the voters by allowing the primaries of some states to be moved up while slapping such a dumb penalty on others who decided to do the same. Now, they are like dumb parents who have made stupid threats trying to keep the kids in line, not that the kids decided not to stay in line, they are left with two very unpleasant alternatives...either carry out the threat and suffer the consequences of that, or admit that the penalty is bogus and the rules can be broken without repercussions.. now you have hillary claiming the popular vote, and who knows, if you add michigan and florida, she may have it, and she's claiming that she has a far better chance of winning in a main election...I think she is right there also. the media's still paying up this idea that there is no way she can win, and well....if there is a last minute upset that takes the nomination away from obama, well...it could very well take alot of people by surprise. It could very well be viewed as the dem leadership intervening to ensure white superiority or however you might wish to say it. in which case, ya, I expect there would be riots across the nation.
the dem leadership in their all infallible wisdom has backed themselves into a corner I am afraid.....they have only one candidate that they have even a chance of putting in the white house.

In the course of my work, I sometimes have to listen to Rush. I've heard him talk about riots in Denver, but he has never told people to riot, or urged his listeners to do such. He has explicitly stated he hopes the Democrats make fools of themselves at their convention, and that it's a recreation of the 1968 Chicago Democrat Convention riots. There is a big difference between that and "calling for riots."

Also, notice that the Denver Channel does provide quotes from Limbaugh, but cannot produce a direct quote where he calls for riots. That should set off any objective and critical thinkers alarm bells; that points to spin and distortion rather than something someone actually said.

I would say so, his words definitely fall under Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 verbiage.

Calling for riots is just plain stupid. They will happen of their own accord once the food supply runs short.
