Lee, Thanks for that news link; I think there is something wrong with the numbers; In your link it says 15000 and in the youTube link it says 12000 and in the SUN news it says 1500. I really hope this guy did this for gaining some attention or to teach people to have safe sex.

Real or hoax this young man's behaviour is sociopath. I see tv ads of one in five with herpes. Let alone HIV. I truly hope its a hoax. But remember Kareem Abduls memoirs of sleeping with 10,000 women. If real, this individual needs to be 'put down' like a rabid dog.

Well I think it matters whether or not it is real.

Without question his actions in perpetrating what adds up to a horrible lie for attention is appalling. I am not saying that it wasn't at all and I don't care to psychoanalyze his motives in using this sort of ploy. I was saying that it is a fraudulent claim for the sake of attention to an apparent porn site he and his partner run, or possibly to attack the porn stars they represent for some reason since it is claimed that the list is mostly porn stars from his site.

Do the numbers yourself and tell me it is possible. The numbers are 1200-1500 in six years.

There is no reason to say "if it is real" when it clearly isn't other than to vent your frustration with morons that make false claims or people that spread HIV and how they should be executed.

Which of course you are free to do.

This sort of story however keeps those fears and stereotypes of black men with HIV out to infect women alive, as clearly you are relating this to Wilt which is a person that does not have HIV or has not announced that he is infected.

What does he have to do with this?

Look, the premise here is someone is spreading a fatal disease. It happens. In fact in Africa bedding down a virgin is supposed to 'cure' HIV.
I think this in heinous. I do believe this happens. And anyone who knowingly spreads life threatening disease should be stopped in their tracks by any means possible.

Honestly, I think the hoax isn't that disturbing. It's some idiot, probably with a mental condition, making an outlandish claim. So what?

What I find disturbing is that so many people here bought into the hoax. Who would believe a man had sex with 1200 women to begin with?



I'm not trying to pick on you, but you serve as an example of an attitude all too common on ATS. An absolutely outlandish claim is made, and it is taken on face value. No proof required, no critical thinking need apply. But when someone calls shenanigans on it, they are the ones taken into question, required to show evidence.

For the record I do think Wilt did bag a lot of chicks (Shaq dated Cindy Crawford if you can believe that) but his numbers too are bogus. Probably just shot something out there and it stuck.

He's a braggart and a bit full of it but hey maybe he wanted to sell a book and this joker a site so their sleazy motives are similar I suppose.

Videos like this true or not always gets to the ones that may have aids and gives them the idea. Copycat scenario. You got all these kids taking innocent lives before they take their own in these school shootings etc... If one ends up with aids then there goes this video giving them an idea. It's sad that people need so much attention that they do these things when it's not that hard to get out there and make something of yourself. You know, suck it in, go through the bad and the good and live and learn.

Gene Simmons supposedly had sex with over 4,000 women but it's probably just another exaggeration.

Hoax or not though im sure theres some people out there with the same name as some of the actresses that have just had the biggest scare of their life, what an irresponsible thing to do.

Then what difference does it make?

If you're suggesting the guy made the video in order to highlight a problem in our society, he would have acknowledged by now that this caliber of criticism - as in, actually going out and creating a fictional character - should not be acknowledged as anything other than propoganda.

Whether it is pertinent propoganda or otherwise is not the question.

The video causes people to have a viewpoint on the matter, simple as.

In all honesty, if he did fake the video, i don't think he would want people to sit about arguing amongst themselves over whether or not it was fake - seeing as it would kinda defy the point.

Of course, an even higher standard of disgust could be the possibility that he hasn't infected anyone whatsoever, but is attempting to cause other people to go about infecting others with STDs - would that crime be any different than that of a person who did it themselves?

Ignorance is no excuse.

edit; There is, as always - one very important thing to mention; There is an unpleasant possibility in the future, if this turns into something bigger than we can handle, for the witch hunts to come about again.

There are more than a few loopholes available to the sexual abuser where STDs are concerned - picking out the actual serial transmitters would be a difficult task, to be sure.

Regarding the OP, I find it very hard to believe. Furthermore, there has been very little said about the other side of the issue. By no means am I saying anyone deserves to get HIV but having unprotected sex with someone you don't really know is not the most intelligent thing to do.

HIV didn't go away in the 90's and care must still be taken.
