I'm posting this in this thread because there doesn't seem to be any other thread related to the Triple Crown on ATS/BTS, so there likely isn't
much interest in this topic. BUT, I want my opinion out there for the record.
Big Brown lost the Belmont Stakes and, thus, the Triple Crown. In my opinion, the PTB should be looking at the jockey. He fought with the horse out of
the gate. Look at the footage. It was a battle between a horse who wanted to run and a jockey who wanted to slow him down.
The PTB should be looking at who bet a lot of money on the eventual winner. He paid off quite nicely - $79 to win.
*Eight Belles blows out both front ankles in the Derby cool-down
*Big Brown's owner syndicates him for $50 million after the Preakness win
*Casino Drive scratches hours before post time
*A safety pin is found in a supposedly secure area of the barn
*The favorite comes in dead last
*A longshot wins, paying off big
Apparently, the Bush White House is running Thoroughbred racing in this country as well.
