I read an exerpt this morning from Jon Ronson's review of the days he spent with pop star Robbie Williams making the Radio 4 documentary which airs
on May 6th, which includes his visit to the UFO Congress in Nevada, which is where I met him and introduced him to Larry Warren, the security guy who
witnessed the UFO landings at Rendlesham.
In it Robbie admits to regularly frequenting sites such as "abovetopsecret.com"
Like most of us, Robbie is on a journey of discovery, which started with some research into ghosts and encounters with "dodgy mediums" and has now
set his focus on the UFO phenomenon, and why shouldn't he be allowed to explore this without ridicule from certain media groups?
I guess as a pop star, you choose to be under the media spotlight and therefore have to cope with the high profile ridicule. However, Rob appears to
not be too bothered by what they think and is going about his research thoroughly and this to me, shows his interest to be quite genuine.
I'm sure from some of his statements that he remains sceptical in many areas, and this is quite healthy, as anyone who believes everything they are
told in this area, is not really likely to be taken very seriously.
When I met Rob in Nevada, he came across as someone who has his head screwed on, and knows what he wants, and I just hope he gets in with the right
crowd and not the "nutty fraternity" that frequent these areas of research.
Good luck Rob - and keep up the search.

Hi Ross,
Maybe you could try and get an interview with him for your show? Then you could post the interview here as a podcast!
I'd certainly be very interested to hear what he has to say about Aliens and UFO's. I think he is a very interesting and charasmatic personality.
Cheers,
Eevee

While I am glad that a celeb frequents the site and gives it the occasional plug, I do wish we could at least limit the number of threads on the
subject.

yeah, i agree, also if he comes here for solace and truth seeking the last thing he's gonna want is people bugging him!!
i think we can safely say we have all made Robbie aware that we welcome him here and wish him all the luck with his search for knowledge,
now can we let the poor lad get on with it!

Well! i think the only reason why celebrities visit this forum because of it's general policy, and that's why i am also spending more time on this
forum than all other forums where i have been member for a long time... though you may notice i lost some points yet i actually don't regret that,
heheh it's only been 2 days since i signed up and i am really enjoying here... i feel very 'comfortable' here.... because here people just stop
short of saying something that could be very awful to others and end up making less sever attack on each other hehe

He is certainly not being "hounded" on here because he posts under an alias and therefore no-one should know who he is!
I do think however, that its interesting that he has found sites such as this and shares a common interest.
Incidentally, I had no idea there were other threads about this topic, as I rarely get the time to surf across ATS unfortunately, so most of my posts
are here in the official radio show forum.

Robbie appears to have a very open mind when it comes to the weird and wonderful. He's got more sense than most celebrities seem to. I must listen to
his radio show, but... you know I don't even HAVE a radio! Yeah, I'm a big radio fan, but I'm a 100% online listener. But I know my dad listens to
"The Archers" online and it's on the same station, so hopefully Robbie and Jon's programme will be too.
I know he interviewed a friend of mine, Ann Andrews. She and her son are serial abductees. That will be a good show; Ann's story is fascinating.

Oh this is like the 5th robbie thread Ive seen. Can't you just forget hes a celebrity and let him get on with it, its not like hes going to tell you
his avatar just because you show " you care". Too much ego with these Robbie threads, too much star struckness and too much interest in what is just
another human being. I say ban anymore silly Robbie threads its all getting so yesterday..sorry but it is. Ask yourself OP's of robbie threads what
is your motive for them? Yes what is YOUR motive.

There is no "motive" and as I do not tend to have the time to frequent other threads on ATS, I post only in my radio show forum.
As for "star struck" - lol I really don't think so. I worked in the music and entertainment industries for many years and met a lot of people far
more famous than Robbie, who is still relatively unknown in the USA.
I think you will find that the thread merely points out that he has "come out" as far as UFO research goes and we say well done to him!
End of!

Well I just think that if Robbies come on ATS for answers and all he gets to read is threads about himself its not good. Yes maybe you are less star
struck than some having worked in the music industry. However, if every celeb who comes on ATS then has 10 threads written about them its more "celeb
magazine" than conspiracy site isn't it

So as I said previously Mr Green if you care to actually READ it, I didn't know about the other 5 - so in here it becomes a different discussion as
this thread is in a SPONSORED forum.

Chill out guys. So what? he's made another thread, not much harm done, just forget about it.
If Robbie reads this, he is probably more uncomfortable with your arguing than the multiple threads. So relax man, haha.

Oh love that place, been twice and would love to go again. The pub in the stone centre is brilliant. Yes you've made me want to go again now Ive seen
that pic. I think its much better than Stonehenge as you can actually walk round the stones.

The energies are better at Avebury too, I have had far more "experiences" at Avebury than I have ever had at Stonehenge.

I totally agree with you, Avebury has been allowed to remain pure, no ticket stand to be found or ice cream van. Avebury is how stone circles should
be , open and un-spoilt.
