I meant which side of the argument...not which side of the force

Isn't it obvious? I would never give up sex, but I would still learn the ways of the force.

I thought this thread was directed to him!

Who cares?

millerman is a way better Jedi than him - the original, and STILL the best

Stealing someone's gimmick??? That's just WRONG, dude!

That's a really long, and silly, story!

Read some of their posts if you're interested.

Some of millerman's, anyway. JediTroll's are totally lame

Well there you go, see, mystics and spirit warriors can have all the nookie they want!

Weeeeee!!

Yup

Well, it depends if you follow the code of the old Jedi order or the new one.

(Blah pre clone wars Jedi Code)
There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no chaos: there is harmony
There is no death; there is the Force.

(Rockin' new jedi order code)
Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

My question is, so you become a Jedi? Then what?

What do you have to look forward to, besides waving around your light saber?

Much to learn you have!

The whole point of taking the path to becoming a jedi is NOT power or the charltan tricks it brings but rather the aim is to become ONE WITH THE FORCE.

Every Star Wars fanboy knows this people!!

As to answering the question, trade sex tobecome one with the force. If I was unemployed and had nothing other to do, definitely.

Sex isnt all that its cracked up to be, its a sweaty, dirty, messy affair that legally, costs more than its worth.

I was thinking something similar. Although perhaps it is possible to replicate the actual experience and even increase its potency upon will.

I like where this is going.

Sure, I might be a Jedi. Can you change your mind later on though? If you want to have kids and stuff?

Question: What do you consider to be "sex".

Thank you

So, If I wanted to be a Jedi, i would have to give up sex for LIFE?

I don't think i could do that. I personally don't feel an overwhelming urge strong enough, to pull me towards becoming a Jedi...I don't even think I know what being a Jedi would mean? Could I drop school to become a Jedi? I'm sooo hating school right now...

I would give up being a student, but I would not give up sex.....so therefore, I would stick with the sex.

This sounds like a deleted scene from clerks two or something.
The OP sounds like that young guy in the movie that likes transformers.
How could you give up sex?I think in this fictional world my pimp slap would own jedis or siphs.

I guess you could change your mind...but thats not what you should be considering...as to what sex is, anything between two people that involves the use of certain areas below the belt

Also, the nature of the Jedi wouldn't allow one to 'become' a Jedi. One must first have the force within them from birth. Then they are sought out by the Jedi when they are still essentially babies (younglings). They are raised in a fashion that would teach them that sex is unnecessary and not part of the Jedi code.

Long before they are skilled with the force their sexual desire (although present) may be suppressed through their understanding of the force. But, as Anakin Skywalker showed, if they are indoctrinated into the force too late in life, early desires will remain present and they will be susceptible to the desires that plague regular people daily.

The Sith on the other hand......

They like to get down!

Were not talking about how the force supposedly works in actuality...
It's just a question...you know, just an if
