Jedi Question

Hey, this kid at school today asked me a question...and I thought it was great! We (my group of about 7 friends and I) discussed it all throughout our classes, at lunch, and even after school for a while. There are sooo many pros and cons of each choice...well here it is
"If you could give up sex completely in order to become a Jedi, would you do it?"
Remember, the question is would you be a Jedi even if you couldn't EVER have sex...so, what's your answer?

Im talkin about if Jedis were real and you would have all the power (good or evil) that you want...its theoretical...

It would still be no.

Priests, Nuns and Monks take vows of chastity in hope that there is a reward waiting for them on the other side. But no immediate payoff.......

Even if the payoff was all the powers of a Jedi, why trade a lifetime of pleasure and live in celibacy ?
And would this include denying yourself any self stimulation ?

If I was a Jedi I'd want to show off my light saber to everyone....

Hey who says Jedis can't get laid??

Maybe Luke doesn't get laid in the movies, but I'd like to point out that Anakin gets laid by Padme and makes babies, thank you very much!

Sexual energy is a power unto itself. An "O" is a build up and release of an incredible amount of energy. Who needs a light saber?

When in the physical..one should act physical. When in the spiritual, one should act spiritual.

Well, for one, Anakin was evil and broke the rules...and even with that, it doesn't count for this question here.
And "using some of the Force" on yourself is perfectly OK in this scenario...

Btw, I would definetly become a Jedi. I mean, think of all the awesome stuff they can do...You can go steal your own baby if you want a baby...lol

Sounds sorta funky to me. Wasn't Luke Skywalker related to Princess Leia?

He spent too much time alone with the saber!

You become a Jedi...then you do whatever you want!

Personally, I'd like blacklight colored double-saber...and electricity-shooting fingertips!

First I would perform Lasik Eye surgery on myself. Then I would go to a local Benihana. And like when the chef start flippin' his knives, cuttin' up all the food, I'd pull out my light saber and show how to really be fancy while cuttin' that food and stuff. I bet that chef would be so surprised!
Then I'd go over my loser brother in laws house and use the force on him and make his head explode.
Man! Now I REALLY want to be a Jedi!

The ironic thing is that if you were a Jedi, you'd have such a heightened spiritual awareness that sex would no longer be of any true interest. Being a Jedi isn't about power or ability, that's what the Sith is. Being a Jedi is about being at one with yourself, and the force.

However, if the question is raised, and one really needs to debate it, one could always become a Jedi and learn the ways of the force, then abandon the role and become a sith. Then you can use mind tricks and whatnot to have all the sex you want.
