NEW YORK (Reuters) - Many U.S. military analysts used as commentators on Iraq by television networks have been groomed by the Pentagon, leaving some feeling they were manipulated to report favorably on the Bush administration, The New York Times said in Sunday editions.

Is this any surprise? The only surprise is that it got out in the media at all IMHO. What scary is that we have gone from investigative reporters to basically talking heads that sit at home, download the briefing sheet (or take a luxury government sponsored trip) and generate a "story" :shk:
