I am one of the "bitter" people living in a small steel town in Pennsylvania.My father passed away from the silt that he swallowed for forty years. My husband is withering away from the same cancer-causing dust...

I, too, live in a small town, rural area and have seen the "bitterness" that result from the loss of manufacturing and textile jobs--sent overseas thanks to NAFTA and CAFTA. I've seen people struggling to get jobs that pay half their former wages or less. I've seen their children sent to Iraq. I've seen the importance of faith and guns to many people. This blog says it very well: Obama got it right.
