Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski has died in a plane crash in Bosnia-Hercegovina, officials say.
Bad weather is believed to be the cause of the crash, but speculations are that it was a terrorist attack.

A plane carrying the Macedonian leader and eight others has come down in heavy fog and rain near the city of Stolac. Emergency services were alerted after it disappeared off radar. Local residents report hearing a loud noise around the time of the crash. The leader was on his way to an investment confrence in Mostar.

Hmm.. this is just as the Milosevic trail is being wrapped up ahead of time. If it was terrorism, I wonder if the message was to the outcome of that trial?

man, this is sad
This president was one of the good guys on the balkans
he prevented a civil war in Macedonia, greatly improving the overal treatment of minorities in that region, he stabilised the country's economy and they are now formaly applying for EU.

This is truly horrible

President of country + untimely death = definite suspison. People are going to wonder about this, and it doesn't help that the Milosevic is wrapping up about now. Probably not terrorist, but possibly somebody didn't like the way he was running things.
