Look into what a monk does in order to attain enlightenment. It does not involve masturbation. I was only talking about a spiritual master teacher. If you want, you can be the master of masturbation or anything else, self proclaimed.

If you believe in chakras and that sort of thing, you might want to reconsider masturbation, as it is a lack of control of the base chakra. If you are balanced properly, you would never have a lustful urge of the sorts.

Masters of what??? I have a very satisifying sex life, which I think is probably b/c I can please myself first and foremost.

Also pot grows naturally, how is that wrong?? We don't add stuff to it like they do all the other drugs. I think it is only illegal b/c the govt. can't tax it. How can you tax something you can grow in your own back yard???

OP you are dead on the money. Western society is in decline. We are like fat drugged sex addicts being led to the slaughter. We are often more concerned with conveniences, pleasures and entertainment than our own families. Divorce is increasing, homosexuality is approved of, and children are increasingly raised by "professionals". We are following the classic model of great empires like Greece and Rome right into the crapper.

I hate to tell you, but "porn" of some sort or another has been around for thousands of years. Mankind's oldest profession? Prostitution.

As well, explicit drug use has been around forprobably just as long. Opium is probably one of the oldest abused substances. Shaman have used drugs spiritually (and, some say, recreationally) for a long time.

Most of what you have stated is actually caused by lazy parents. In most households, both parents work full days. Their kids are often left to fend for themselves for guidance and interaction, which usually turns out to be the T.V. god. If anything, you can blame degradation of our society on bad parenting, or go even farther and figure out why it is that one of the parents can't afford to stay home, and blame the higher prices of food and gas, medicines, etc.

Take this as an example... if you allowed your children to ONLY watch wholsome family shows that portrayed the family values you want instilled in your child, they probably won't grow up to be hosers and addicts. As well, though, too much repression can have the exact opposite effect. It's nothing new. People have always wanted to move to the city after growing up on the farm, and vice-versa (as an analogy).

Drugs and sex have been here since the beginning of human civilization. And yes, 5 minutes doesn't go by in which I don't think about sex. It permeates my dreams for pete's sake. Maybe I should go move into a cave and whip (heh) myself everytime I think about sex, or roll in a bush of thorns like St. Francis of Assisi. However, there are good drugs and there are bad drugs. Some create a spiritual experience in the users and others lead to destruction. Crystal meth comes to mind. I have been exposed to some sort of porn since I was 12 and stole a playboy magazine from my uncle's dresser. I treat women respectfully and I am not a drug addled maniac. However it does seem likely that forces outside my experience could capitalize on my weaknesses. But, they failed. Am I off topic here? Am I just rambling. I guess I am. Okay. Peace, out.

I agree with the poster. I feel that most people are content with being controlled, therefore they say stupid blanketed statements like 'There is no conspiracy' who the hell are you anyway? Seriously look at the amount of people that smoke marijuana. And marijuana makes you docile and not able to critical think. I am 22 years old and I cant find any body in my area, that doesn't smoke 3 or more times a week. Most, all my closest friend its everyday. And yeah I was a pot head too, but I never wanted to be. You know what it feels like to talk to a pot head about 9/11 and codex alimentarius or any other very important truths. They dont wanna hear that #, which is a symptom of marijuana and part of the reason I smoked it for so long. I hate thinking about all this # constantly and then you have people saying 'there is no conspiracy'. Why not just state your OPINION with evidence? There is definetly something WRONG in our society. I don't see pornography as harmfully, nor sex before marriage.

Porn warps your mind by desensitizing you to watching crazy sex. Pornography reduces women to sex objects. It is addictive. It's bad for marriages thus it's bad for society. Real women often aren't able to, or do not want to; perform the rough, degrading and violent sex that gets normalized in pornography. Men who watch porn need or expect this selfish and unrealistic behavior. This often ruins marriages. Which ruins children's lives. It is taking a huge toll on America right now.

While I don't think that his book was based on real plans, - and I don't agree with everything you've written, I think it's absolutely true that the world could head to a version of the world like the one in the book. And THAT is something we should be alerted by. Regardless, I think we call all agree the sexualisation of children and the whole media spotlight on crack whores like Britney Spears is just wrong!

If we look at society today, I think it is obvious that our attitude towards sex is totally warped; we try to stay together for more than the time we still love eachother and we dump our unconscious fears upon our children by denying them a normal sexual development.
This stupid idea of marrying to one person and longing for all the others is totally wrong.
It effectively makes most men and women unsatisfied with the choice they have made years ago; as if humans dont change or change their minds.

Pornography only deepens this dissatisfaction and creates more stress among working people, who have to work too much and enjoy life too little.

Child experimentation sex is quite common in nature, but the way its depicted in pornography doesnt help children in developing a healthy attitude towards sex, as said before, it only creates a template for future sexual behaviour..

Thus women are seen as exploitable for sex. Love is seen as an almost unattainable goal for most people. Advbertising is also giving us conflicting signals; cars and sex; guns and sex; women and expensive clothes; perfume and success with sex etcetera.

Clearly this is a conspiracy of the elite to repress the successful mating of the lower classes. Just as the elite have bred horses and such for their sports; they are breeding us for their leisure; we will provide the necessary workforce for them to sustain their level of spending.

Lets not talk about the 'ethics' of the Huxley-family, for they are a part of the elite and support eugenics and believe that people like them are the 'superior'
race that they wish to create; its all too clear: another group of people furthering the goals of what they see as theirs. They will keep popping up.
For idiots like them, we are all but animals. And they, the pure people.

What we need to consider, I think, is that society as we see it now is a direct reflection of the unfree situation we have had to endure since the beginning of so-called 'civilization'. For me, another word for 'civilization' is 'serfdom' ; All civilization is, is a society where there is a small part of society that rules the larger part, that does all the work.

What we perceive as the benefits of society are also its negative factors; control, safety from nature and a constant foodsupply. We do the same with our pets; we feed them, we control them and we keep them away from harm. Thats why pets do not develop a personality of their own, we keep them away from the factors that help them to do so. And ofcourse overpopulation is the effect and the goal of society. The elite themselves hardly have any negative effects from overpopulation; they will always be able to occupy the biggest houses.
Yes, certainly the use of sex to dehumanize the masses is a conspiracy. It all depends on how thorough you look at your own situation. If you still perceive yourself as free, you will not see the reality of this total slavery; there is no way anymore that we humans can have any freedom whatsoever from the way we are now. Thus we have NO freedom. All we are able to do at this moment is work with the materials and surroundings that have originated from the assumption that there is a wisdom in hierarchy
We can only get to a better level in anything if we step out of the context of this slavery-society.
Maybe this post is not entirely on topic, but in the end everything we do is a part of this topic, I believe. For I see here that most people are so embedded into society that they cannot see any alternatives anymore; they think inside the box and are trying to make something out of a thing that cannot be m,ade better. No matter how well thought the laws are, how pure and well-willing its people are, society IS a prison for the human soul.

I do not believe the "soma" of today would be marijuana. It would be the anti-depressants that are so common in today's society.

In the book, people took the drug to get away, not think, be oblivious to the world around them. Today people get down about the world and become depressed. Rather than trying to change the situation, or world, they visit their local doc and get their "soma."

Pot on the other hand would be dangerous to the government in Brave New World as it inspires creativity and feelings in general.

What kind of porn do you watch?? The kind I watch with my husband is just normal porn, with regular sex involved. I am a real woman, and the acts we see in porn don't bother me. Are you watching rape scenes or something??? It hasn't ruined my marriage or my kids lives. They don't know we watch porn when we do. We have been married almost 7 years, and have the best sex ever. We actually joke about how they say your sex life ends after marriage, ours gets better because we are open sexually. We do what feels good. Our kids don't know what we do they are in bed asleep. I think they will have a better life, because they see 2 people in love, and will figure out when they are old enough that we have a healthy sex life.

If you do not like someone with conflicting views then it is you who is in the wrong place, not I. Nearly every advert these days on TV or in magazines and newspapers are using sex to sell products. You can barely surf the internet without coming across adverts of semi clad naked girls. There's no getting away from the fact that sex is in your face nearly 24/7. Is it any wonder us men supposedly think of sex every three minutes. To be honest that's actually a myth, well I certainly don't, unless of course I'm surfing the net or watching tv, then I can't help but think of sex, considering it's in my face nearly all the time.

I don't think it's a conspiracy, as nearly everyone would have to be involved, but it's definitely affecting society, especially our children where it's a serious problem that needs to be addressed, as young teenage pregnancy's are becoming more and more common. I think when it comes to behaving morally, the west has just completely lost the plot. It's like we are deliberately trying to push the boundaries of what's morally unacceptable. Money, fame & power are the only things that matter. It's time for us all to take responsibility for this mess or things will just go from bad to worse.
