If you lived a good life, did good things and tried not to hurt anyone, would all all powerfull creator care if you lived word for wrod from his book?

Exactamundo. I don't think he/she/it (I am partial to he/she/it being the intelligence of this reality itself but eh) really cares about any book that man has written to control his fellow man. Except perhaps in any good light of such bs rulebooks.
But my view is that if others choose to live life as if he/she/it does, well, as long as they don't seek to harm me for choosing not to. More power to them.

What does that have to do with this thread?

God in the bible states that he created good and evil.
So if you believe in the God of the bible then you have your answer.
He is both good and evil.
He who created the sweet innocent lamb also created the ferocious killing machine that is the tiger. If that makes you uncomfortable then what about this?
If God created evil will he send himself to hell as well? LOL IMO any book which states that God asked people to kill other people etc is not a book I put much stock in. If a murderer on trial says God told him to do it we all say he's crazy and twisted but, is he...? *runs away*

Actually, there was only good at first, until the rebellion of the angels, led by Beelzebub. Whence he was thrown to the Earth, evil came into the Earth, which was BEFORE Adam and Eve .. or the 1st human, or at the same time as the 1st human.

Umm.. 1st human? dont you need TWO to bang and pop one out? anyways..
Seriously though, if there was no creation, or as I say, modification of the evolution of our race, an increase in speed to become humans, which the lack of evidence currently supports, how would a male human and a female human both simultaineously evolve for the 1st time, together, into humans? makes no sense. what if the woman evolved 1st, then died, then the man evolved 50 yrs later, and starting banging apewomen for lack of a real woman?

Lets just assume the first "evolved man" had rough pickings for a wife and had to take some planet of the apes looking broad just to get some play, thus creating the human race as we know it? Or wait, was it a woman first who got abducted by an apeman neanderthal thing? I can only imagine how painful intercourse would be for that pour soul, lol.

If there was no Beelzebub, there'd be no tester, deceiver, in honesty Beelzebub has more of a daily impact on our lives and the Earth than God does, because this is Beelzebub's appointed task. In the scripture, about Job, God and Satan actively conversed over the strength of the man's faith, and God gave him permission to take away everything from Job, but not physically harm him, to test him. He stayed faithful. I think it was in Yahweh's master plan for Beelzebub to fall out, because he created Beelzebub himself. God is so infinitely wise... but sometimes its a very tuff love. I mean, sometimes you have to go through extreme trauma, horrible times, and life changing difficult events before you really open up to God.

When I hear a song with some singer talking about how much he loves his girl or wife, I think about how much I love God. Creator of all things. All things in the universe since its' creation have been influenced by uneven forces, uneven powers, therefore no probable, predictable result can ever be achieved except for luck. If only something that is 50/50 is truly even and controlled, as a previous poster said, entire galaxies and planets and suns smash and destroy each other every day, which lets off energies that influence this, which causes that, which causes this, multiply those dominos by 100, and youll see the impact it has on our solar system, moon, and Earth. such as tidal changings, mood effects, utter chaos, or peace, or destruction, or drought, or plentiful times. its all controlled by an incredibly vast chain of seemingly coincidental events. all these unequal forces .. yet our world is kept in a near perpetual state, other than the odd storm, cold years, and if you believe in global warming.

This relates to Jewish Mysticism, because in the Kabbalah they comment about the Sephirot, or layers of light between Earth and God/Heaven, each light reflects God in some way, and i think theres one sephirot for each color in the rainbow, but i may be wrong. Each sephirot has a specific task, to somehow modify, dumb down, reflect some of but not the all power itself of God, for reasons unknown. Think of it as a filtration device, or machine, that seperates us from God. When God has willed, it goes through the Sephirot, and by the time it comes to Earth and through them all, it has been masked, parabled, turned into coincidental synchronicities, turned into significant life events, whatever it is that is going to give you the messsage/lesson, even if, as this thread started, we have to learn suffering. This is true though, because how can you know the torment of "hell" if it exists as such, if youve never suffered. In essence, Earth is the true Purgatory, or inbetween place.

All of my suffering has made me relate to Jesus, to the ever-giving love that these apostles had to send themselves to certain torture and death at the hands of their hosts, sheerly through their love for God, Jesus, and their fellow man who was not in-the-know. Many gave up their earthly lives to advance Jesus and God into the future so we can understand it today. These are the 24 most elect saints that surround the throne of God. Jesus sits on his right hand. They are not the exact same being. Jesus came from God, therefore his proverbial son of spirit. Read Revelation, it even says Jesus is at the right hand of God's throne.

Actually, he is spot on. Here's da ting.

Mankind has a mother of a Judgment coming onto it ..

And the World, we can all agree, is becoming worse, through population, government, tyranny, capitalism, communism, radical militant theology, entire nations that endorse official Atheism, like Cuba and China.

Food prices are up. Gas prices are up. You know, a denarius for a wheat and a denarius for three barley pieces? And dont touch the oil or the wine? Hmm.. dont touch the oil .. too expensive? Gas here is $3.36 for regular unleaded. premium is almost $4. If gas becomes nearly $10 a gallon, it would fulfill prophecy, being elevated in price 10 score, as it used to be $1 a gallon, before 9/11. Filling up my moms 4dr V6 cost $55, regular unleaded. Used to be $30..

Personally, I'm just waiting for the poo to hit the fan, and for things to really pop off. Because, one element of God that we can experience is love. Love inspires us to do good deeds, and treat people well, which in turn makes those people do good deeds, and treat others well. Those dominos keep knocking each other over, excuse me, standing each other up, rising up from the table one a time, like watching it in reverse, through God's power of love, which WE have at our disposal to use. Love is God's will. If all loved all, there'd be no intentional killing, wars, famines .. nothing. But alas, the world is ruled by evil, power hungry, greedy men that are typically non-believers who've stepped on everyone they can to get where they are.

The rich man's hands are full but not content with anything,
While the poor man's hands are empty but he's sitting like a KING.

Yes I have. I have a bit in my sig. In my opinion, one of the clearest "early" UFO/EBE encounters written down ever. He gets approached by what he calls flying wheels, and from them came 4 beings with 4 faces each. This could be mistranslated, meaning each had a different face, i dont know. Regardless, it reads exactly like a UFO encounter, its crazy.

But yes I think it is possible we will all goto Heaven, or at the least, the most evil ones may not go to Heaven, but not Hell either? Perhaps just become nothing, their spirit reabsorbed into God? lights out?

And to prove my point earlier about love, if someone spiked every single United Nations member state representitive at the U.N. meetings with some .. m-d-m-a, or "E", we'd have world peace! for a day, then the next day, everyone would be all cracked out and start launching missiles

God is not a "HE" that sits and controls people. People act of their own free will. You will have to answer for you choices when you return to your spirit self.

The op is dealing with the bible version of God.
Genesis 2:9 (Whole Chapter)
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
He made the tree of knowledge of good and evil.....on purpose....ooookay then.

Genesis 3:22 (Whole Chapter)
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
One of US? US? and you know of good and evil, of course.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7, KJV)
Does it get any clearer than that?

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? (Amos 3:6, KJV)

Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good? (Lamentations 3:38)

To the OP. You can make this thing bother you or you can rationalize its absurdity by saying that life is lesson etc and GOD of the bible uses evil to do good etc. This way you won't get too upset from hearing about a little girl getting shot in the face at 4 yrs old by a burglar or someone raping your mother at gunpoint and forcing her to do porn star stuff...etc...ok?
You can also come to the conclusion that the God of the bible is not really God at all. That would be a fair conclusion, many people have come to such a conclusion. Especially given his behavior in the Old Testament. Don't let it bother you, ok? Things won't stay this way forever. At least I hope not

Simple answer. There is no God. Or at least not the one described in the King James Bible, or any other Christian New Testament Books.

If you do believe in this God , well he does not love you, he has the abilities to do anything, and create universal peace, but doesn't.

I'm sure some Catholics and Christians will cite "free will" and "sins of man" the cause of this suffering and that it's OUR fault.

But didn't God know this would happen all before hand? I mean it IS NOTimpossible to Create something and wash your hands of it, and say it has free will. God created mass murderers , pedifiles, rapists ect (knowing full well what these people would do), so in my opinion, it's either, a sick game, and I curse a God that would do that. Although I don't believe this is the case, that was for those who believe in a God.

My contension is there is no God. Again, at least not one who gives a rats arse. Don't tell me he is bound by any heavenly laws as to where he can't step in and stop all the pain and death, and killings of innocent children, if this is the God described in the texts I read. He should have done this.

It's all evolution, and since space a time are infinite, civs like ours will come and go forever and ever.

I believe in positive, and negative, and Karma.

For the exact amount of good in this world, there is the exact amount of evil ect.

It's a cosmic law I just happen to believe in.

But a creator or all this? pffft.

Who created him?

Bottom line there is no God, there are false Gods, and people who really wants to believe. This way they can sin all month long then spend 10 minutes in confession, and they are all set. Pretty good system there for Catholics eh?

A loving god WOULD not send any of his children into the flames of hell for all eternity, when he was responsible for creating that person, and KNEW (because he was all knowing) what this person would do.

So in my opinion, those that believe in this sort of God, are worshipping some twisted man in the sky who seems to get his kicks off suffering, as well as happiness. Which just isn't right.

Also, don't give me this is a test of faith crap. Because you can only see so much atrocities before ANY person would curse God, except maybe Job, but that again is just a story in a book, written by a mortal man.

God is just a word like Science is just a word. You can label it however you please, it goes far beyond this 3-d experience.
Yes all are books written by mortal men, just like science books, but do recognize that some mortal men know much more about reality than the average joe. Some mortal men transmute all of their desires, not out of fear of God, but out of wanting to know the nature of truth, and self, to know God as the self, as the everything.

My point is, bitching and moaning about peoples beliefs when there are still questions left in your own, is pretty high and mighty.

If an atheist or whatever one calls themselves wishes to impose any certain ideology onto another, one can only plant seeds, by complaining, you only further perpetuate the situation you are complaining about.

The truth is, we are ALL ONE, no matter what words you use or language to describe it, plain and simple, we all come from the same source of creation, weather you think its God or Math or Science, or Silence.

Just do unto others, and keep in mind everyone else has no idea where you are trying to come from, nor will they ever until the understanding of ONEness permeates all of humanity. Its a simple concept, and an obviously true one, we could all learn from just holding that in our hearts in any confrontation.

I speak to all colors and creeds of existence, from all colors and creeds of existence. for I am YOU.

God gave us free will. Sadly, some choose some horrible things to do with that will. God made us human. Sadly, some choose to do some pretty horrible things against humanity.

As humans, we can become sick. The brain can be sick just like any other organ. Various forms of mental illness can create various forms of unacceptable behavior.

God made this world perfect, we humans are the ones who screwed it up by wanting our own way insted of trusting in the one that's already been there. Every device ever invented has been used as a weapon at one time or another so it's our fault. God could of course correct everything, but that would violate someone's free will. He made a way out but of course we don't want his way, we think we know better than the creator and want to tell him what to do and that our way is smarter, better, and faster.Sounds alot like adam/evedon't it?
