This is pretty much on par. You have a better chance to catch the ghost at night due to decreased activity of people and animals for the most part
and it is much more quiet for picking up EVP's.
That being said I had several experiences during the day of objects being thrown one was a phone book off a microwave that weighed roughly 2 pounds
and the second was a toe nail clipper flung off a desk at my wife. Both in the middle of the day and sunny out.
