I came across this while looking for another Satellite malfunction today, i know its a year old but i don't remember hearing about it, and i've searched ATS and can't find anything, I felt a little sick when i read it, especially when i saw the amount of satellites that fail to reach orbit and fall back to earth, it is more common than i ever imagined.

story snippet
A jet aircraft with 270 passengers on board was within 35 seconds of crashing into a blazing Russian satellite as it was falling back to earth yesterday.

cool post
I wondered about if any plane ever got hit by an asteroid or meteor or any space debries. I guess now I know it is more possible than I thought.

cool post dude,

star and flag,

i agree with your comments, just how often does this happen,
and why did they make such a big thing of USA193 and all these others get barely a mention ????
