'Gangsta Rap' Created to Convince Black People to Kill Each Other

Same thing, new demographic.

Actually, no. Youth gang related murders have been going on in Britain for a long time, but not to the extent they've been happening recently. The MSM is flooded with declarations of increased killing - perhaps it's just another fear tactic. I'm just saying that if you go by MSM, the following apply:

- Youth gang related killing has increased drastically in the past few years.
- Victims and perpetrators are both usually black (this is not something the MSM emphasize - they mostly avoid stating the ethnicity - but where the ethnicity is stated, it is black).
- Immigration into Britain is out of control and has been for years.

Before the recent mass immigration, there weren't regular stories of white thug teenagers murdering one another.

I can't stress enough that I'm merely relaying my own objective observations. I am vehemently anti-racist, but I also believe in calling a spade a spade. I'm not gonna pretend there aren't observations to be made for the sake of political correctness. My only belief that many here might criticize me for is my objection to multi-culturalism. I simply don't believe it works.

Funny how you're saying that it's racist, in a thread full of white people claiming that rap brainwashes black people.

Go figure, huh?

Give me a break. The majority of the posters in this thread think Alicia Keyes is retarded for saying that crap. Just because you say that this thread is full of white people claiming that rap brainwashes black people. doesn't make it a reality. Come back down to earth, space-man.

I'm down for runnin' up on them crackers in they city hall

You conveniently missed that line in the song you quoted. I wonder what 'runnin' up on them crackers in they city hall' could mean?

Do you hear any of that rhetoric in this thread? Don't quote garbage like that pretending they are enlightening society with their 'insightful lyrics'. Dead Prez are about as forward thinking as a herd of sheep.

But back to the point ... I see how you didn't deny that Dead Prez are racists. That's pretty funny too.

I'd be inclined to maybe say this is worth investigating if it wasn't for the fact that the violent West Coast rap was a product of gang wars in L.A., not the other way around. The Bloods, Crips, Surenos, and others were formed in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's in the prison systems where the populations were perpetually facing getting shanked or beaten because you walked into the wrong color cell block. If anything, the argument could be made that actually getting involved in gangsta rap at that time saved alot of young black lives, as it provided an out for some of these guys who otherwise would have just kept selling drugs, banging, and robbing homes.

then watch how agressive they are...watch them fight each other over nothing...watch them go completely nuts on each other to the point where sometimes dozens of officers are called in and away from other duties to ride heard on these people...

After a sample of around 10 nights of this or so monitoring the gansta rap / hip hop club croud, then go find your nearest "hi-energy" and / or "diva house" bar and watch how those folks behave at closing time for around 10 nights or so.

After doing this, then come back on here and tell us what your observations are...I would bet the farm your mind on gangstah rap will have changed...

I live in Cheyenne, Wyo. We had a bar here that had that exact problem. The Cheyenne Club (Nicknamed the Chey Dive) is a large open-floor bar taht had catered to the hip-hop crowd for years. They even changed the name of the buisiness to Cheyenne Lights or City Lights (can't remember), in order to 'change it's image'. Until this last year when they closed and re-opened in Country music format, they would have at least a couple shootings every weekend. Those were generally the only shootings in town, and occurred always outside that particular bar.

Now, the hip-hop crowd have assimilated one of the last decent mix-crowd bars, and that bar now has the problems of constant fights outside the bar, and roughly 90% of the time it's black, mexican, or white guys that seriously feel ripped off for not being born black.

The funny part is that on Wednesday nights they play Metal (REAL metal, not the popular 80's and 90's radio crap... Slayer, Macabre, Death, Black Dahlia Murders, etc...). Even after a full night of drinking and listening to what some consider significantly more aggressive music than rap, there is probably 1 fight in 2 months.

I definitly agree with you, Skyshow. This is one of the two reasons I don't go out to the bars anymore. THe other is because I don't like to drink and drive like I used to... 2 DUI's is more than enough, and I don't need to be riskking anyone else's safety. Honestly, I can't stand a crowded bar that plays Hip-Hop... I can't stand the aggression.

Why on earth is the government involved in the drug trade?

Why is the border so wide open?

In lieu of imprisoning so many people, why not remove the drugs, alcohol and the guns?

Why not replace liquor stores and gun shops with libraries?

Why not remove porn from the internet and television? You used to have to pay for that - now you can get it for free all day long.

Why not build more institutions of learning and education instead of these ugly butt strip malls?

Why not pay teachers better so they would want to stay around and help children?

Children are only portraying what they are taught. Whether it's from the heavy metal, jazz, hip hop, r&b, parent, family members or their environment. I also know that if you don't have the old butt, washed up, singers & rappers (ALL) who tell children what to do, music isn't so bad.

I miss Chuck D and I have my son hooked on Xclan! However, I do know he gets his dose of 50, JayZ, Quik, Cube, etc... who all talk about different things. But you have these old butt rappers like 50, talking to teenage girls - telling them it's cool to bone at home because his momma ain't home! WHAT??? You can't tell me he's living at home with him momma. So who is he really talking to? Same with Gwen Stefani sounding like some little teenage girl on her records and Brittney Spears! Most music now is made for these little teenieboppers and it's not all good.

The government only plays upon the ills of society. They can't do half the things that are being done if people would just wise up. They have created a class society which breeds jealousy, anger, envy, and mostly hatred. The have's and the have nots. It's hard to make 1 million bucks and even harder 100 million. However, the dream is pushed in front of anyone who watches television on a minute to minute basis. They are constantly showing you what you don't have. So it's hard to appreciate the job you have, the nice home you have, the regular car with no rims, etc... If you believe in this crap!

With the seeds of envy deeply planted, it's easy to drop off some crack in the hood, because it's easy money for somebody. Then you bring in the alcohol, the guns, everything that there is a law against. Once it gets pushed in the hood, you start drawing the lines; crip vs. blood, latino vs. black, street vs. street - and since most have been to prison and adopt that mentality, what do you have in the streets?

It's a game no one ever wins except for those in power. Because they reap the rewards off the prision system. They reap the reward of the drug game and the gun game. It's twofold - they perp gets time in jail which takes away their ability to vote, get a good job, etc... and the government has also made money of the sales and the housing.

Rap music is just another form of income for them, the same as all forms of music. There isn't a thing that the government hasn't taxed.

There are more murders, and rapes, and serial killings done by white people every year than there are the minorities. So why is the news so biased? 300 million americans and 73% are white. There can never be more black or latino men in prision than there are white men.

So instead of saying that it's hip hop, or it's the club scene, or black folks this or that, take a look at your own situation and see where you can fix things. Because each segment of the population has it's issues. Most welfare is taken by white people, same with most killings, rapes, molestations, DUI's, etc... So as you sit back and talk about rap music, what made metal so famous? Biting the heads off of living animals? Worshipping the devil? They government played on that as well because the same scenario was created for white children. Most never climbed that ladder and ended up on drugs and alcohol. It ruined just as many lives as hip hop is doing. It's just easier to point the finger the other way.

Quit dreaming and go do something - you be an example!

Hello ATS People,

I was born. raised and still live in L.A. and I'm tired of hearing the violent, sexist music that blares from the cars, houses and buildings all over the city. There's a kind of expression in "gansta rap" and some "heavy metal" that's vile and ugly for the sake of being vile and ugly.

I'm half white/half Hispanic and have lived on the street, been in jail, cleaned myself up and generally qualify to have an opinion on the subject. My opinion is that there's no government conspiracy behind it. It's simply criminal music that in some cases is made by and for criminals - for the glorification of things criminal. One can't expect it to be pleasant, I suppose.

I'm avoiding it as much as I can because it tends to give me a bad feeling in my gut - like the musical equivalent of junk food. I just too old and beat up from living "the life" to take it anymore.

Thank Goddess for Beethoven and Mozart.... John Coletrane, Donavan, Patti Smith, Woody Guthrie, Bert Jance... my list goes on... (as my name spelling fails me).

Paul

PS. I would like to be able to write to Caythrwaul (the person in London who posts here) privately, but I can't figure out how. I could use some encouragement on becoming healthy again. Seriously.

The problem with the theory is that Gangsta Rap's target audience is suburban white youth. Russel Simmons (who is not a gangsta rap producer, but nevertheless was always a major player in the rap music indudstry) said that he was in the business of making records for white suburban kids. Anything he sold to black kids was just a mere afterthought.

While it may be true a typical Black kid may have more gangsta rap songs in his ipod than a typical white kid, it does not necessarily follow that gangsta rap drives kids to violence and other anti-social behavior. The Black community in America has always had more than its fair share of poverty and crime. Gangsta rap did not bring these problems to Black people. Furthermore crime in America has dropped since the mid 1980's. If anything, crime has dropped as gangsta rap has proliferated.

THE Problem is basically caused by the idiots from "compton LA"who have exported this menace to all parts of the world
The solution is by knocking down the council estates in ENGLAND and the projects in the USA and building terraced houses in all cities. and the increasing of rent and taxes in places like compton, and finally take the sting out by DISSEGREGATING LA,AND ALL THE CITIES. MIX ALL THE RACES.

Just remembered this thread and want to talk about something I find annoying that I came across the other day. Alicia is wearing a AK 47 around her neck. It's become the new trend among posers. that and bullets hanging on a chain around the neck. yesterday I came across a old acquaintance who is A&R over at a major label handles some big accounts. He is now wearing a bullet on a chain around his neck. I asked him about it, pretending I thought it was cool and he told me oh yeah it's the new trend in the business.

I said cool m16 round.

he said no man it's an AK round. The thing was clearly a 223 round not a 308.
The guy has never fired a gun before. can't tell a tec9 from a bazooka, and is easily physically intimidated. so whats he doing running around with a machine gun bullet hanging from his neck? friggen posers. worse this guy is in charge of the careers of a bunch of major bands and he's only 26? And we wonder why the music industry is collapsing.

oh yeah and the guy is from agoura. the new uber white land of no crime green lawns and trust fund babies who live off of their mommy and daddy, think they know how to hang tuff but drive 500sl'd given to them by daddy for their 16th b-day, have never had to go hungry and first met somebody who wasn't white ( besides their hispanic maids) when they finally got a car and drove to the san fernando valley. so how they gunna run around with a bullet hanging from their neck pretending to be down with the scene, when they're really a bunch of posers.
