the MadCowMorning News has learned,
“For at least four years while living in Hamburg during the 1990’s terrorist ringleader Mohamed Atta was part of a ‘joint venture’ between the U.S. and German Governments,The jointly-funded government effort picked up the tab for Atta on sojourns in Cairo, Istanbul, and Aleppo in Syria during the years 1994 and 1995 and employed him as a ‘tutor’ and ‘seminar participant’ during 1996 and 1997.”
an elite international ‘exchange’ program run by a little-known private organization with close ties to powerful American political figures like David Rockefeller and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
“Moreover Atta’s financial relationship with the U.S.-German government effort may even have extended back to his initial move from Egypt to Germany in 1992, after being ‘recruited’ in Cairo by a mysterious German couple dubbed the ‘hijacker’s sponsors’ in a recent news account in the Chicago Tribune. In the years before he became a ‘terrorist ringleader,’ Atta was enjoying the patronage of a government initiative overseen by the U.S. State Department and the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, the German equivalent of the U.S. Agency currently supervising the secretive bidding race for tens of billions of dollars of post-war reconstruction contracts in Iraq, the Agency for International Development.”
“News that Mohamed Atta had been on the payroll of an elite international program known as the ‘Congress-Bundestag Program first surfaced a month after the 9/11 attack in a brief seven-line report by German newspaper Frankfurter Algemeine Zeitung on 10/18/2001 under the headline ‘Atta was Tutor for Scholarship Holders.’ The story quoted a spokesman for ‘Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft,’ described as a ‘German international further education organization,’ as having admitted paying Hamburg cadre principal Atta as a ‘scholarship holder’ and ‘tutor,’ as the spokesman put it, between 1995 and 1997.”
The U.S. end of the program is run out of an address at United Nations Plaza in New York by CDS International. The letters stand for Carl Duisberg Society, which is also the name of its German counterpart in Cologne, the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft. Both are named for Carl Duisberg, a German chemist and industrialist who headed the
“But the shocking revelation that Atta had therefore been on the payroll of a joint U.S.-German government program was concealed by the newspaper through the simple expedient of neglecting to mention that the ‘Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft’ was merely a private entity set up to administer an official U.S. and German government initiative.during the 1920’s.”
“Having powerful friends in such high places may also explain the curious omissions in a second story about Mohamed Atta’s time in Germany which appeared recently in The Chicago Tribune, headlined ‘9/11 Haunts Hijacker’s Sponsors; German Couple Talks, of Living with Pilot Atta.’ The March 7, 2003 describes the 1992 meeting in Cairo which led Mohamed Atta to move to Hamburg, between Atta and a German couple, which the paper does not name, who ran an international student exchange program, which the paper also leaves anonymous…”
“During a visit to the Egyptian capital in fall 1991, said the Tribune, the German couple had stayed with friends who knew Atta’s father, a Cairo lawyer, and his father’s friends had then introduced the German couple to Atta. ‘Atta who had recently graduated with a degree in architectural engineering from the University of Cairo, told the couple he wanted to study architecture in Germany, but he had no particular idea where he should go,’ the paper reported.”
“ ‘In this first conversation, we suggested he continue his studies in Hamburg and offered him a place to live at our house,’ the paper quotes the German wife telling investigators from the BKA, the German equivalent of the FBI. Atta, she states, accepted their offer right away. Why did an (unnamed) German couple, running an (unnamed) international exchange program leap at the chance to engage a young man who was not even considered promising enough to gain entrance to a local Cairo graduate school? The Tribune doesn’t say.”
“After studying German in Cairo, Atta arrived in the country on July 24, 1992, according to investigators’ records, and then lived rent-free for at least the next six months in the couple’s home in a quiet, middle-class neighborhood. It is more than curious that although Tribune correspondent Stevenson Swanson cites the German couple for ‘having played such an important role in Atta’s move to Germany,’ he never gives their names, nor that of the organization they worked for. But since just two years later, Atta was on the payroll of the ‘Congress-Bundestag Program,’ it is reasonable to conclude that this same government-funded program was responsible for bringing him to Germany in the first place, under the aegis of an unnamed German couple. His elite sponsors are apparently powerful enough to keep the organization’s name out of the newspapers, or at any rate, out of the Chicago Tribune.”
“Mounir el-Motassadeq, had been a close friend of Atta’s core group between 1998 and 2000, said the following: ‘Atta’s Weltanschauung was based on a National Socialist way of thinking.which was, in his opinion, Enemy Number One.” This trial in Hamburg also brought to light

Atta’s attitude in believing that a world wide conspiracy of Jews exists.

One of the world's top experts on Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda,However, starting in January 2001, Bush blocked all efforts by Mr. O'Neill to investigate Saudi ties to bin Laden. In the summer of 2001 O'Neill declared that the main obstacles to his investigation were U.S. oil interests.
he grew to believe that "all the answers" regarding what they needed to destroy Al Qaeda lay in Saudi Arabia.
In late August, a frustrated O'Neill quit the FBI and took a position as head of security for the World Trade Center. “‘What’s white-and-brown-and-red and rolling around in Baton Rouge?’ asked the dispatcher in the mirthless tone cops use to distance themselves from bloody events. ‘Barry Seal. They just gutted him.’”
“A $500,000 Medellin cartel murder contract had hung over Seal’s head, upped to a cool $1 million if he was brought alive to Colombia … He certainly hadn’t availed himself of the Federal Witness Protection program when it was offered to him.”
Seal had seemingly fallen from favor with whoever had been protecting him. He’d been on a well-documented downward spiral for over a year, losing status, possessions, and immunity from prosecution he had once taken for granted as a member of a ‘protected’ class.”
[Seal’s] secretary Dandra Seale (no relation) … blames the ‘government’ for Seal’s murder, and not the Medellin Cartel … official version of events … [she said]‘The CIA people here allowed it to happen.
He had a chart, he had dirt on anybody and everybody.’”
“We discovered that one of the killers actually took pictures of the murder-in-progress, but that the FBI agent who nabbed this guy at New Orleans International Airport as he was trying to flee the country that night exposed the film, rendering it useless as evidence…[Thommasson said.]
Seal had taped all his phone calls—including those made to his intelligence handlers—and kept them with him at all times.
Lieutenant Thommasson: “I only have third-hand reports. Okay?’ ‘Seal’s trunk contained compelling and–again, from 3rd hand data—very compelling documents and tapes. Several briefcases, boxes—wherever Seal’s Cadillac was, that was where Barry’s instant records were.’ From the way he stressed ‘3rd hand’ we knew he was speaking for the record. Later,
we discovered that this man’s [Thommasson's] family dog was decapitated and left floating in their backyard pool as a warning … fully three months after Seal’s assassination…”
If Seal was right in being unafraid of Medellin cartel retaliation, then who then was responsible for his murder? There is no better source for this critical information than the three Colombians convicted of the killing, sentenced to life in prison without parole. We interviewed Richard Sharpstein, a prominent Miami criminal defense attorney, and the lawyer for one of the three convicted assassins, who casually revealed the explosive truth about who ordered Barry Seal killed—and why.”
“ ‘I represented Miguel Velez for the Barry Seal homicide,’ Sharpstein began. All three of the Colombians who went on trial always told us—their lawyers—that they were being directed, after they got into this country, on what to do and where to go by an ‘anonymous gringo,’ a United States Military officer, who
they quickly figured out was Oliver North,’ Sharpstein says.”
Sharpstein: ‘the Colombians … were put in touch with this officer through Rafa (a Colombian smuggler) who was the guy my client worked for. And they all believed that it was Oliver North.’”
So the extra-judicial execution of Barry Seal wouldn’t have made him blink an eye. There are even allegations that he had been tasked with drawing up plans to suspend the US Constitution and declare martial law, in the event the massive drug smuggling taking place ever came to public light.”
“North, numerous sources stated without prompting, had been running an assassination squad right out of his White House office.
“In Guts and Glory: The Rise and Fall of Oliver North, author Ben Bradlee, Jr., writes. . . ‘North’s work for FEMA from 1982 to the spring of 1984 was highly classified, and some would say bizarre.
He was involved in helping to draft a sweeping contingency plan to impose martial law in the event of a nuclear war or less serious national crises such as widespread internal dissent or opposition to an American military invasion abroad.’”
“But the popular mythology of Seal’s assassination is—not just wrong—but active disinformation. … In the official version of events recounted in newspapers, the killers were always described as a ‘three-man hit team of Colombian nationals.’ Even a cursory reading of the headlines revealed, to our amazement, there weren’t, hadn’t been, three men involved. . .there had been eight.
Three men may be a hit ‘team. Eight is a hit ‘squad.’
“Six men had been arrested at various stages of attempting to flee the scene. A seventh, Rafa Cardona, who had dispatched the team, was safely ensconced in Colombia … He was charged in absentia for planning the hit, but was himself mowed down, in a spray of automatic gunfire inside his antique car dealership, in Colombia later that year. Then there was the ‘eighth man,’ Miami CIA ‘asset’ Jose Coutin, who had supplied the machine gun.
“Police then raided two ‘safe’ houses in Algiers, a seamy suburb of New Orleans, and nabbed Bernardo Vasquez and Louis Quintero-Cruz, the other two men later convicted, as well as John Cardona, brother of the man fingered at the trial, Rafa Cardona Salazar. Eliberto Sanchez was caught trying to flee at the New Orleans International Airport. Jose Renteria was nabbed the next day while waiting to board a plane in Miami. The ‘eighth man’ in the assassination is Jose Coutin, who had supplied the weapons for the hit. He is thus, by law, guilty of murder; or, at the very least, of conspiracy to murder.
“Coutin was never even charged with a crime. He went on to testify before the Kerry Committee, saying, no doubt, anything his ‘benefactors’ wanted him to say. Coutin was the proprietor of the Broadway Boutique, a Miami fashion shop with a unique inventory: ladies clothing in the front, and military gear in the back.
According to Lesley Cockburn in ‘Out of Control,’’Why Sanchez and Cardona were simply deported and never charged with murder has never, unsurprisingly, been satisfactorily explained…”
he [Coutin] was a well-known CIA asset, FBI informant, and Contra weapons supplier.
Testimony at the trial of the three accused of killing Seal revealed that Renteria had been the cut-out between Coutin, known to be linked to Oliver North, and the shooters, to whom he delivered the weapons from Coutin. . . So Jose Renteria’s case was severed from the trial of the other three.”
“‘Barry pushed the phone across the desk to me and said, ‘You wanna know what’s going on? Here. Dial this number. Tell ‘em you’re me,’ Unglesby related. ‘When I did what he requested,’ he continued, ‘A female voice answered the phone, saying, ‘Vice President Bush’s office, may I help you?’ ‘I said, ‘This is Barry Seal.’ She asked me to wait while she transferred the call, which was immediately picked up by a man who identified himself as Admiral somebody or other, who said to me, ‘Barry! Where you been?’”
“ ‘That’s when I told him that I wasn’t Barry Seal, I was his lawyer,’ said Unglesby. ‘Immediately he slammed down the phone.’ ‘So why was Barry Seal murdered?’ we asked Sharpstein.
‘Unglesby said he had been with Seal when the IRS came and seized all his property,’ Sharpstein related. ‘The IRS man said,‘Hey, I work for you,’ was Seal’s reply. ‘We work for the same people.’ ‘You don’t work for us,’ the IRS agent stated. ‘We’re the IRS.’”
‘You owe us $30 million for the money you made in drug dealing.’
“‘Unglesby was with Seal when he retired to a back room,’ Sharpstein. ‘He watched as Seal placed a call to George Bush. He heard Barry Seal tell Bush:Sharpstein spoke solemnly, aware of the gravity of his words. . . ‘That’s why he’s dead,’ is what Unglesby said.’”
‘If you don’t get these IRS as*holes off my back I’m going to blow the whistle on the Contra scheme.’
“One week after the phone conversation between Barry Seal and George Bush, Seal was sentenced to a half-way house. Two weeks later he was dead.
“The assassination of Barry Seal was very likely not even the first attempt on Seal’s life by North, we were told by CIA electronics expert Red Hall, on the ground in Nicaragua with Seal on the Sandinista drug sting… ‘The only thing I knew was the CIA had to do a lot with it [Barry’s murder.]It was the same thing Oliver North pulled on us down in Nicaragua. Then, I didn’t know yet that Oliver North had it for Barry Seal, because he was working with Oliver at that particular point. We were undercover, and we were still down there [Nicaragua], when Oliver North blew the whistle on us.’”
The killers were being directed by Oliver North at the time.
“Chip Tatum, another covert operative who had known Seal and shared confidences with him, listened with amusement the first time we breathlessly relayed what we’d discovered: thatI can tell you.’”
Oliver North is guilty in the assassination of Barry Seal. . . ‘No sh*t, Sherlock,’ he replied, laughing. ‘It ain’t exactly the secret of the century,
Why couldn’t Bush have ‘taken care’ of the IRS? Perhaps he could have.
“Barry Seal had threatened George Bush over the IRS trouble he was having.
But there were other Seal ‘problems’ as well, like
state police so disgusted they were threatening to go to the media with damning evidence of official corruption in Seal’s case, should the biggest drug smuggler any of them had ever seen receive no ‘time’ at all.
“Tax evasion. Get the picture? I beat on desktops in IRS offices all across the United States to find somebody that would take the case, till I found a criminal investigator for the IRS named Earl Buck Holmes, willing to come down and set up a war room in my office.’ Some ‘wised-up’ local and state cops had figured out that Barry Seal had been too valuable to certain people in the federal government of the United States of America to ever go to prison for his crimes.
Remarkably, in the court proceedings in neither Miami nor Baton Rouge had Seal’s organizational assets—like his fleet of planes—been confiscated, although this is standard operating procedure in drug cases. Why not? Because they were still being used…”
“Knowing this, local law enforcement had done an end-around on them, and taken their case to the IRS, where they hatched a plan to at least strip Seal of some of his ill-gotten goods.
“Local and state cops, we found, to our amazement, had tracked a shipment of coc aine to one of Seal’s ocean-going vessels, the Captain Wonderful, just weeks before Seals’ murder. There they were met—and dissuaded from boarding—by DEA and CIA agents. State and local cops in the South often appear to know the score…
When we told one Louisiana law enforcement source what we had learned from Miami attorney Richard Sharpstein, about how the hit team had been getting orders from Oliver North, he said simply, ‘That doesn’t surprise me at all.’”
“Then we discovered why Seal had been so unconcerned about being killed by the Medellin cartel… ‘I asked Barry why he wasn’t worried about the Colombians killing him,’ stated close associate, Mob pilot Rene Martin. ‘… Seal was getting ready to talk about who had owned his smuggling fleet fifteen years ago.”
He said he had told the Colombians he was going to pull a fast one, and testify for Ochoa against the U.S. government.’ Two weeks before he died, Barry Seal had hired a private investigator in Miami, Steve Dinerstein, to run FAA title searches on 15 different airplanes he had used in his smuggling enterprise
He had even contacted a Paramount Studios production vice-president about making a movie.
“Barry Seal was assassinated because he was getting ready to talk…Bill Lambeth, who will himself be murdered in Phoenix seven years later.
While the killers approached Barry Seal’s Cadillac in the Baton Rouge twilight, Seal had been on his car phone with a CIA aircraft procurement executive in Arizona,
“…Nor are these the only gaps in Barry’s early flying history. During two separate four-month stretches in 1962 and early 1963 he leaves no records at all in his log books of where he is flying, and with whom...on No-Name Key in Florida, and on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain in Louisiana.”
at the exact same time the Agency was training exiles and ‘soldiers of fortune’ for a second invasion in Guatemala,
“His pilot’s logs then begin to drop all pretense to accuracy, and every other day, month in and month out, Barry’s logs state that he is ‘banner-towing,’ always for precisely five hours. For example, on a day for which we have photographic proof that he was in Mexico City, January 22, 1963, his pilot’s logs read ‘banner towing in Baton Rouge. Five hours.’ When we showed his friend andCliff Rice these pilot logs his face showed dismay. ‘His flight logs raise a lot of red flags,’ Rice told us slowly. ‘He
fellow flying instructor
made a lot of flights to Dallas, and to Florida, I see. As well as to Waco.’”
“We asked former CIA pilot Gary Eitel to inspect Barry Seal’s official military records for us. Eitel’s recent career includes a stint as an attorney, where his court testimony helped convict‘It says Barry was 1st Special Forces from Baton Rouge, La., assigned to duty that’s been ‘redacted.’ His duty specialty codes are redacted, so that won’t tell us anything…’ Eitel started, reading the records aloud.”
two CIA miscreants in Arizona in the mid-‘90’s, who were selling C-130 military cargo planes to Mexican drug cartels.
“ ‘On 31 Aug 61, he joined a reserve Special Forces group,’ he continued. ‘Then—Airborne, and goes to Fort Benning Jump School. And then in January of 63, he’s transferred to Company ‘B’ of the 21st Special Forces group.’ …why had Seal joined the Special Forces reserve?”
on 15 Dec 62, he’s assigned to the 21st Special Forces Group
“‘Barry found a little niche in the Special Forces reserves,’ Eitel stated.
What is clear is that Barry was in some kind of unit that had a special ops focus.’”
“ ‘… on 1 May 63 he’s assigned to company D Special Ops Detachment of the 20th Special Forces Group Airborne. Now he goes up to the next grade of Special Forces—Special Detachment Special Ops. The CIA could easily have recruited him right out of the service,’ Eitel concluded. ‘If he wasn’t already working for them.’”
“Was there anything unusual about Barry Seal’s 20th Special Forces Group? Yes... When it was discovered that, the local paper, The Memphis Commercial Appeal had investigated.
the Birmingham-based 20th had sent a detachment of Green Berets to Memphis to carry out an unknown mission on the day Martin Luther King was assassinated
They discovered that theThe paper quoted a former army counterintelligence major as stating that
20th was chockfull of veterans of CIA assassination ops in Southeast Asia. The major said, ‘The rural South was ‘in-country’ to these guys, and at times things got out of hand.’”
the 20th Special Forces Group had even had a domestic intelligence network, operated for them by the Ku Klux Klan and ‘Klan Special Forces.’
The assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. -- In addition to analyzing the FBI’s extended efforts to politically neutralize King, national security and organized crime elements appear to have performed the assassination.
an organized crime arms-smuggling ring maneuvered accused assassin James Earl Ray into position to take the fall for the crime; the member of that arms-smuggling ring boasted of actually having done the shooting;that, according to Pepper,
there was an Army intelligence program to surveil and neutralize black American leaders (including King); the 20th Special Forces Group "A team"poised to kill Dr. King and his then-aide Andrew Young in case the organized crime marksman missed; and the apparent role of the National Security Agency in helping set Ray up for the assassination.
served as a backup sniper team
“On July 16, 1955, his 16th birthday, Seal got his pilot’s license. Two weeks later, he boarded a U.S. Air Force plane for a two-week summer camp with the Civil Air Patrol at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana.
There he came under the command of David Ferrie, and met fellow cadet Lee Harvey Oswald, two principal figures in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
(also see FTR#288 www.spitfirelist.com...
“...Under normal circumstances, would homosexual and pedophile Dave Ferrie hang out with cigar-chomping commie-hating Guy Banister?
What activity do Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby, Barry Seal, Guy Banister, David Ferrie, Gordon Novel, Michael McLaney, and Meyer Lansky all share in common?
What would they find to talk about? And what did violence-loving Jack Ruby—he enjoyed being his own bouncer in his strip clubs—share in common with supposed ‘Marxist intellectual’ Lee Oswald?”
Its not that they’re personally close. . . they’re like people who see each other maybe once a year at some Gift Show Convention.”
“They worked together. They all saw each other at the office, at the airport, or at the odd Klan cross-burning that functioned as ‘cover’ for some of them.
“As it happens, the industry these men were in was enjoying a major boom at the time.which together comprise just one industry. . . because who controls the one inevitably controls the other. Jack Ruby, to cite just one example... Professor [Peter Dale] Scott shows him to be involved in narcotics trafficking as far back as the late 1940’s. Talk about being ahead of the curve!”
Their business is weapons and narcotics,
“Barry’s reserve service continues until his release in November of 1966. For the last two years of his 6-year hitch he was assigned to headquarters of 245th Engineer battalion based in Saint Louis. ‘That fits,’ Eitel told us.They build airstrips where covert ops can go in the dark.
‘Engineers and Special Forces just go hand-in-hand. Engineers are the first guys in, they’re road maintainers.
Barry was an owner/operator. The CIA contracted him for work.’ Gary Eitel was also a CIA pilot, a lifelong member of the same fraternity of flyers to which Seal belonged. He knew him only slightly, but, living in neighboring Texas, he heard quite a bit about him...”
“He [Seal] was assigned to the 21st Special Forces Group and went to jump school in Ft. Benning, Georgia. On May 1, 1963, Seal was assigned to Company D, Special Ops Detachment of the 20th Special Forces Group—Spec Forces Group Airborne.”
“During this time, just before President Kennedy was killed, an illuminating photograph was taken. A smiling 24-year-old Seal is seated at a nightclub table in Mexico City with [Watergate burglar] Frank Sturgis, [Iran-Contra operative] Felix Rodriguez, and William Seymour, all members of the CIA’s assassination squad, Operation 40.
Louis Gaudin an air-traffic controller at Redbird Airport, located south of Dallas, told the FBI he recalled observing three men in business suits board a Comanche-type aircraft hours after the assassination. Seal owned such a plane, and many believe he flew the plane that spirited the assassins to Canada.”
When a pimp named James Breen met with Ruby to discuss collaborating in running three prostitutes, he found Ruby bursting with ‘loftier’ ambitions... Ruby showed Breen an early narco-industry training and recruiting film, exciting enthusiasm in his new recruit in ‘an extremely efficient operation in connection with narcotics traffic.’ Typical loads were valued at over $300,000. In 1956, that was real money.”
“We were amazed to learn that by 1956, Ruby was doing so well in narcotics that he was showing training films to potential recruits into the organization.
“This perhaps explains why—to a startling degree—the lead characters in our story are almost all involved in smuggling weapons, as if they all worked for a giant superstore called ‘Guns R’ Us.’”
The other big action is in weapons.
“This is why they all know each other: our US Customs agent friend was right about there not being all that many players.
Lee Oswald knows Jack Ruby, based on too many witnesses for even the FBI to ignore. Oswald also knows Dave Ferrie, Oswald knows Barry Seal, Seal knows Ferrie, and, based on flight plans in his pilot logs, may have also known Jack Ruby. And everybody knows Guy Banister.”
“We were to make one final discovery. After Barry Seal had threatened to roll on Richard Ben-Veniste, and while he was still in possession of those ‘two briefcases’ filled with incriminating information he had ‘liberated’ from Ben-Veniste’s office,
Ben-Veniste had interceded for Seal and set up a meeting with the then-Vice President of the United States, George Bush.”
“We learned that Seal had not attended this meeting. Instead, he sent the Attorney General for the state of Louisiana., William J. Guste, Jr., to argue on his behalf.—about the fate of a Louisiana native CIA agent with a ‘little problem,’ Barry Seal.”
The Vice President of the United States, George Bush, sat down and cut a deal with the Attorney General of the State of Louisiana—in what amounted to state-to-state-negotiations
“The result, which we already knew, was that Seal had moved his operation to Mena in the Spring of 1982, and went to work for Oliver North.
But who was William Guste? Why had seal placed such faith in him? And the answer, when we found it, brought our story of Barry and ‘the boys’ full circle. . .in addition to involvement with Edwin Edwards in shady casino deals—standard Louisiana fare—had been, way back in 1956 and ’57, when our story began,
William Guste, Jr.,
the head of the New Orleans Metropolitan Crime Commission, where he had been instrumental in bringing to town Guy Banister, the agent who had helmed the entire New Orleans operation from its inception.”
At the Baton Rouge funeral home where mourners gathered for Barry Seal’s wake, the newly-widowed Debbie Seal’s oldest childhood friend noticed with curiosity an entire line of men in sleek dark suits hovering at the back of the room. ‘Who are they?’ she asked Debbie. ‘They’re with the government,’ Debbie replied. ‘They’ve come to make sure he’s dead.’”
“… the story of Barry Seal, the biggest drug smuggler in American history, who died in a hail of bullets with George Bush’s private phone number in his wallet.”
“Shubin had quite a bit of business with Wally Hilliard, we learned. He had a company, Sky Bus, Inc., whose planes were shared in common with Hilliard’s Plane 1 Leasing to Sky Bus between March and August 2000. Plane 1 Leasing remained an ‘owner of sorts.”
“…we recognized the name of another business partner of Shubin’s, a man who gained a bit of fame during the Savings and Loan Scandal of a decade ago. Mark Shubin was in business with the notorious Ken Good.”
“Kenneth Good was a big part of the Silverado Savings and Loan collapse. He was in business with Neil Bush. In fact, Ken Good had been so clearly a Bush family retainer that it strained credulity to think that Shubin—and Wally Hilliard—now were not similarly connected.
In 1983, Neil Bush, President George H.W. Bush’s son, and our current president’s brother, became partners in an oil venture with Ken Good and William Walters, a Denver developer.”
“...Bush joined the board of Silverado, a Denver S&L to which Walters and Good already owed more than $100 million that was never to see the light of day again. Neil Bush received a $100,000 ‘gift’ from Good, as well as other major financial assistance.
“By late summer of 1988, examiners made ready to seize the company. But then they got a phone call from the White House, according to TIME magazine. So the bank board’s seizure of Silverado was delayed. When Silverado finally collapsed,
The election was too close; Silverado’s collapse would inevitably have spotlighted the Republican candidate’s son, whose conduct had certainly been unethical and possibly illegal.
it cost U.S. taxpayers over $1 billion."
Houston Post’s Peter Brewton, who broke
the CIA-Mob connection to the Savings and Loan Scandal, said Neil Bush’s Silverado partners ‘all had connections to individuals or S&L’s in Texas that did business with organized crime figures or CIA operatives.
Good is one Silverado borrower who got a large loan at a Texas S&L connected to (Herman) Beebe, allegedly connected to the underworld.’ Herman Beebe was an intimate, as they say, of New Orleans ‘Mafia Kingfish,’ Carlos Marcello.Ken Good cost Americans over $132 million, just from loans from Silverado.”
Ken Good hung with both the Bushes and the Mob.
“... Shubin and Good’s partnership seemed to share a lot in common with Hilliard-Dekkers and Richard Boehlke’s. Good’s airline, Express One International, supplied aircraft and crews to Sky Bus, the way Boehlke had for Dekkers and Hilliard.
And Shubin’s Fort Lauderdale based carrier was soon-to-be-bankrupt, a fate which Atta’s Florida associates seem to face with an awful regularity. Good’s Express One will itself soon be bankrupt, and in bankruptcy proceedings the company’s leading lessor will be revealed to be
Finova Capital, A Canadian company ‘linked’ top the CIA, and which also financed Iran Contra-era proprietary airlines like Richard Secord’s Southern Air Transport.”
“... P.J. Kahn, we knew, had crashed one of Wally’s Lear jets in September of 2002, with eight doctors on board. All eight needed treatment. Other than that, he was a mystery, a Pakistani national who had somehow ingratiated himself with southern Florida’s movers and shakers. ‘Hilliard signed a contract with P.J. Kahn, who bought the old Air Florida Certificate,’ said an aviation observer.
‘P.J. Kahn moved in with Mr. Hilliard’s backing. He’s an Arab operator with a license to fly (an airline).Puzzlement turned to incredulity when we heard from several people P.J. Kahn disappeared."
Kahn’s got a contract with the U.S. Treasury Foreign Assets Control to fly directly to Havana. He has special permission as an authorized carrier to fly direct to Havana.’
We were puzzled. Foreign nationals aren’t allowed to own U.S. air carriers. Also, U.S. air carriers aren’t supposed to be flying to Havana.
“... Hilliard’s latest ill-starred aviation enterprise also offered commuter service under the name Discover Air. After not one ticket was sold on its inaugural route, it went—almost immediately—out of business.
Notwithstanding this uniquely dismal record,
for reasons unknown, Florida political luminary Gov. Jeb Bush stepped forward to tour its facilities and praise its completely un-praiseworthy management.”
We wanted to know if Dekkers had any local ‘priors.’ But it made Sergeant Marty Treanor sigh. Then he started to say something, thought better of it. He said he couldn’t tell us if Dekkers had been in any trouble in Venice, because‘Gone?’
all of his files were gone.
‘The FBI took all our files, everything. They loaded the files right outside this window,’ said Treanor, indicating a parking lot outside the station, ‘into
two Ryder trucks, then drove them right onto a C-130 military cargo plane at the Sarasota airport, which took off for Washington with Jeb Bush aboard.’
“Speculation about [Arne] Kruithof centered on his relationship with Rudi Dekkers, and also to another partner, Pascal Schreier. A German national living in Munich, Schreier and Kruithof had a co-venture, called, ‘Aviation Aspirations’. According to its literature the company provided financial assistance and a ‘Mentor Programme.’…‘Mentor’ sounded a lot like ‘handler’ to us.
Le Monde had reported that Osama bin Laden’s brother Yeslam sent student pilots to Venice for training … Was Aviation Aspirations the vehicle that had been used to insert Yeslam bin Laden’s pilots into the Venice flight schools?”
“There were suspicious irregularities in the official investigation into Kruithof’s plane crash that observers at the airport said had never before happened. Without any finding on the cause of the crash. . . before investigators were even able to get a look at the downed the plane, the wreckage was gone. Things like that weren’t supposed to happen. ‘Even though the FAA hadn’t yet determined the cause for the crash,’ said one shocked observer, ‘the plane was almost immediately dragged off to be compacted.’ He looked stunned. ‘That’s not just irregular. It’s highly irregular. We’re all kind of wondering just what the hell’s going on.’”
Goodman also owned a DC-3 that sat at the Venice Airport for two years before being donated to an air museum in July, 2000, called the ‘Florida Military Aviation Museum.’ This was a major red flag.
“... Kruithof and Goodman formed ‘Florida Flight Maintenance,’ in July of 2000, just as Mohammed Atta and Marwan began training at the Venice Airport.
Donating planes and then getting them back from air museums is a ruse which has been used to provide planes over the years to a rich and colorful crop of elite deviants with intelligence connections.”
It was being used right next door in Charlotte County, we remembered, to ‘re-assign’ 23 helicopters to new billets. Also troubling was the fact that as Goodman’s company was closed involuntarily by the State of Florida on September 21, 2001. Was it’s closure 9/11-related?
“A military flight museum was the same venue used by the CIA in the past to ‘liberate’ military planes and helicopters in various sordid paramilitary schemes.
“Known as N90079, Inc., the company was named for the ‘N-Number’ of the business’s sole asset, the aging DC-3 … we discovered that the plane’s colorful history has included long stints in exotic locales. It spent quite a bit of time, for example, back in the 80’s, in Manuel Noriega’s Panama. The DC-3 could be traced back to an infamous South Florida Customs airplane ‘bone yard,’ where ‘planes with checkered pasts’ sit in a fenced storage yard, like the sister ship to the famous C-123 shot down over Nicaragua in 1986 with Eugene Hasenfus aboard.”
“... Jamie Hill had been a target of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s investigation, we’d learned. ‘He’s got seven helicopters sitting on his property today that don’t belong to him,’ one local law enforcement source stated. ‘He’s got millions of dollars of aircraft parts with the numbers filed out.’ Jamie Hill’s partner in the company strongly suspected of having been a conduit for the disappearance of 23 helicopters from the County Sheriff’s Air Wing turns out to be another notorious covert operative with a significant presence at the Charlotte County Airport.
Dietrich Reinhardt’s name, which could have been lifted straight out of transcripts of the Iran Contra Hearings, had also been linked with Barry Seal’s infamous Mena, Arkansas coc aine smuggling.”
“We discovered that one of Reinhardt’s companies active at the Charlotte County Airport, Caribe Air, had been doing business with Rudi Dekkers’ Huffman Aviation. Caribe Air was an especially notorious CIA proprietary whose past included ‘blemishes’ like having all its aircraft seized at Mena, Arkansas after government prosecutors accused the company of using its planes to transport coc aine worth billions of collars into the U.S.”
“It was beginning to feel like Old Home Week in Charlotte County. Reinhardt—apparently not content with the distinction of being business partners with a man suspected of making helicopters disappear—
was linked to the man who trained both pilots who crashed airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.
“Reinhardt had also operatedin a Senate intelligence committee report.
the now-defunct St. Lucia Airways, referred to as a CIA proprietary company
Reports in The Washington Post linked St. Lucia planes to the delivery of Hawk and TOW missiles to Tehran, Iran in 1985 and 1986 as part of the covert arms-for-hostages deal between the United States and Iran.
THE MAN PICKED by President George W Bush to head America’s Central Intelligence Agency [in 2004] is more of an intelligence insider than has so far been revealed.
The appointment of Porter Goss reveals that what passes for American civic life may in reality be just an elaborate game of Inside Baseball. For example, Goss found himself paired with fellow Floridian, Democratic Sen. Bob Graham, then the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, leading the joint congressional inquiry into the attacks.
They share another unique distinction:
both men were having breakfast on the morning of September 11th with a man who had reportedly wired $100,000 to Mohamed Atta, said news accounts. "When the news [of the attacks on the World Trade Center] came, the two Florida lawmakers who lead the House and Senate intelligence committees were having breakfast with the head of the Pakistani intelligence service.”
The Mexico City nightclub [quote]photo reveals a mixed group of apparent Cuban exiles, Italian wise guys, and square-jawed military intelligence types.[/quote] It was discovered among keepsakes kept in the safe of the widow of CIA pilot and drug smuggler Barry Seal (third from left). It appears on the cover of “Barry & ‘the boys:’ The CIA, the Mob & America’s Secret History” (MadCow Press, Eugene OR. 2001).
[quote]Goss appears second on the left. He is seated between notorious CIA pilot and drug smuggler Barry Seal (third left) and the equally-notorious CIA assassin Felix Rodriguez (front left), a Cuban vice cop under the corrupt Mob-run Batista regime who later became an Iran Contra operative and a confidant of the first George Bush. [/quote]
The only one of the spook celebrants displaying any hint of tradecraft (seated on the other side of the table covering his face with his sport coat) is Frank Sturgis, most famous as one of the Watergate burglars.
Beside him [Sturgis) sits (front right)
William Seymour, New Orleans representative of the Double-Chek Corporation, a CIA front used to recruit pilots (like Seal), and a man who many Kennedy assassination researchers believe impersonated Lee Harvey Oswald on several occasions when the lone nut gunman was out of the country and so unable to impersonate himself.
As we saw it, the photo was in a yellowed frame, the kind used by nightclub photographers to create instant keepsakes. [quote]Seal’s widow Debbie Seal kept it in her safe, where it was overlooked by a 7-man team from the State Department which arrived at her house in 1995 to comb through her records. [/quote]
It bears the name of a nightclub in Mexico City, and is stamped January 22, 1963, which, if you’re counting, was exactly ten months to the day before the Kennedy assassination.
Although membership in a secret society would seem to compromise a bit anyone being considered to lead an Agency which is itself a secret society, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Republican Porter J Goss of Sanibel Island Florida is a member of the secret society “Book & Snake” at Yale.
President George W Bush's nominee to head the nation's flagship intelligence agency also appears to be visible in [the photo above] in a Mexico City nightclub of members of the CIA’s secret assassination squad known as “Operation Forty."
The twin discoveries come as news reports indicate that Democrats have decided not to make a serious issue of Goss’s appointment. The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee went so far as to warn fellow Democrats Sunday against trying to block the nomination.
“Democrats should ask tough questions of Goss at Senate confirmation hearings next month, but my view is this is the wrong fight," Rep. Jane Harman, D-CA., said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
No questions have yet been raised about the propriety of confirming as CIA Director someone who may have belonged to an assassination squad which was reportedly a joint collaboration between the CIA and the Mob.
But questions have already been asked about the influence of secret societies on America’s supposedly democratic institutions, especially since both major Presidential candidates belong to a secret society, too: "Skull & Bones."
We first learned that Porter Goss owned multiple decoder rings from Kris Millegan, scholar of secret societies and editor of the recent “Fleshing Out Skull & Bones” (Trine Day 2003).
Millegan unearthed a document www.madcowprod.com...&S19601.jpg listing “Book & Snake’s Class of 1960 roster. On the list, which also names deceased Secretary of Defense Les Aspin, is the name “Porter Johnston Goss.’
[quote]News that America's new Top Spook is a previously-undisclosed member of a secret society who will be chatting in the Oval Office with a boss who is also a member of a secret society raises a question of undue influence...[/quote]
The notion that a young Porter Goss is visible in a photograph taken in a Mexico City nightclub on January 21 1963 was first broached to us in a letter www.madcowprod.com... from someone who noticed what he felt was a more than passing resemblance…
“I saw a photo of Porter Goss taken in the 1970’s after he was elected to the Sanibel City Council and he looks virtually identical to the Mexico City Operation Forty person!” the letter asserted.
We paid little heed, however, until a profile of the CIA nominee in the New York Times ran a picture of Goss taken in 1984. Even separated by two decades from the time the Mexico City picture was taken, we found the resemblance uncanny.
If Goss is in the picture, it dovetails nicely with what is known of his CIA career. But it would be a 40-year old 'mistake' come back to haunt him. Because, we learned, there weren’t supposed to have been any pictures…
