I have a small request regarding a man who predicted gas prices will reach $6 a gallon.

Yeah we pay way more here in the UK, BUT we have much smaller distances to travel. We're more densely packed in here so commuters and lorries ('trucks' to you yanks
) don't use as much petrol ('gas' to you yanks
) to distribute work and products to the same sort of quantity of people, shops and businesses.

Yes we write 'utilisation' and 'utilised', not 'utilization' and 'utilized' here. We also spell 'gray' 'grey'.

Better tighten your belts because it's already nearly $7/gallon here in Oz. Admittedly an imperial gallon is somewhat larger than a US gallon at 4.54 litres vs 3.5 litres for the US version so we're paying, at $1.50/litre, over $5 for a US gallon right now and no relief in sight. Those 'cheap' city prices of $1.50 are not shared by those in country areas where average prices have been higher than that for a year or more.

Do what we do and get smaller, more efficient cars plus do less driving and it won't hurt as much.
