Well, the easiest way to steal something, is to do it right in front of everyone.
So please do tell us all that there are no disinfo agents on ATS.

Well, I've seen thread de-railers firsthand, and been on the receiving end of that crap where someone posts something totally irrelevant to what
you're posting on. I wouldn't necessarily call that a disinfo agent though.
I have however noticed a trend of people specifically pro-Government, and while this is not a disinfo agent either, sometimes the perception sure
seems that way, especially when they atttack your thread, or your facts within the same said thread.
I'm not naming names, no reason to, I know how to battle proficiently both here and the real world in debatable issues.
War, on all front is something I am proficient at, and war of the words is just a different battlefield.

Hurray, finally someone actually gave a reason for the presence of disinfo agents on ATS, without throwing around any accusations......a star for you
even though I disagree

Yeah thats typical. I create a thread that offers and opposing opinion and someone launches a disinfo accusation instead of using logical arguments to
challenge me (or any other memebr for that matter)
Thats what this whole thread was about

An easy method for evaluating suspect information is noticing in what context a falsehood exists once you find one. Once you find one, work outwards
from it. If the lie is presented in a context of propaganda, or within a constellation of logical fallacies, or with unrelentingly bellicose views, or
with a lot doubletalk, or by invoking heroes, by stroking the ego, with a bunch of terminology, or by encouraging you to act before think, then it’s
probably disinfo. Of course, it takes time and mental energy to notice these things. The only shortcut is intuition, but if you develop your intuition
without developing your intellectual discernment, you remain vulnerable. Our intuition, like everything else, has rhythms, good days and bad days.
I shied away from citing many specific examples of what I actually think is misinfo or disinfo because I feel that if the principles of higher
spiritual truth—and of manipulation—-are understood, then mis/disinfo won’t really be a problem.
Take what works for you and leave the rest.

Nah, it's easier than that - based on posts in this thread it's quite obvious that the way you find a disinformationist is simply to look for anyone
posting something which disproves your unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. And if the person concerned actually knows what they're talking about then
it's a clincher ...
So, if someone claims that HAARP used chemtrails to sink Atlantis based on a dream their unidentified friend's neighbour's cousin had last week then
you know that person is clearly telling the truth and anyone disputing the claim works for the CIA

I have been battelling with this question myself. I am in the military (I know that automatically makes me part of the evil big brother lol) I have
worked for the government for many years, I even have a very close relative in the FBI. I have gone to multipile federal training seminars, and have
been to a multitude of military bases (even the infamous wright-patterson AFB, and Nellis AFB {the alleged area 51}) and not once in my years of
government training have I met one single "disinfo agent" or even a propagandist for that matter. There is however an MOS in the USA called
psychological warfare specialist, but these guys have far more pressing issues to address. Believe it or not guys not everyone in the government
recieves special "propaganda training" to brianwash the American public, the media does that just fine by itself.

in a related post here, I embrace Mr. Oz. Its nice to see an actual scientific basis once in awhile. Its always more reliable to attempt to debunk
claims and myths. That way if we cannot provide enough information to the debunking we are obviously left with something paranormal. Everyone on this
website always claims to be "seeking the truth" yet most of the garbage being spewed from some of these people's mouths are just appauling. They
make claims they can't back up, they are talking about things that they really have no comprehension of, and their so called evidence comes from just
an unreliable source as they are, or they take half the story and twist it to fit thier agenda, thats not science thats propaganda folks.

1. No. But that doesn't mean there isn't a cover up. We haven't been told everything. And no-one (IMO) expected the towers to collapse.
2. No. Although if a NWO does it exist it's possibly the most incompetent organisation in human history.
3. Not as such, but at the same time, I don't believe anything politicians or the media tell us.

I totally agree.
This is the reason why they turn to making chilidsh disinformation accusations. They cant debunk the debunkers so they make a personal attack on them
and/ or their credentials

Whether "debunkers", "conspiracy theorists" or people totally disinterested in conspiracy stuff, most people are prejudiced and even mentally
incapable of thinking beyond the prejudices of their environment. With regards to this issue, those accused of being "disinformationists" are
probably as guilty of such prejudice as those who make the accusations....
Although it is entirely possible that there truely are disinformationists out here.... I just wouldn't put them solely in the "debunkers" corner

I agree. The govt. budget is very tight. I spent some time working for uncle sam, although I wasn't very high on the totem pole to gain all
knowledge and operations which goes on behind locked doors. I do know that we used certain disinformation tactics against certain terrorist
organizations. But most of this come as fake radio/t.v. broadcasts AND by infiltrating certain news sites with terrorists connections. But most of
this was done by mil intelligence and maybe two other govt agencies, while some of these operations was given (much to the dislike of the NSA) to
civilian owned broadcasting networks, and they where paid very well. But not to my knowledge has the govt. ever wasted the money nor time to imbed
'dis-info agents' on american 'conspiracy therorists' sites. In fact, the government likes the conspiracy theories, it keeps people focused on
what could be further from the truth. But I don't know every thing, just know the govt. is cheap, very cheap. Why do you think they've gone to
using so many contractors, they are 'cheap labor and expendable.

A disinfo agent or someone that fell for disinformation.
How do you tell.
Case in point
If someone posted this
Ban "hydroxyl acid"
One of the most dangerous substances on earth.
Found on all military bases in the US.
Kills more people then any other chemical.
globex-corporation.blogspot.com...
Is this good info or is the poster a disinfo agent or misinformed
One persons fact may be another's fiction.
40% of the purported facts on the internet are fiction.
50% of the medical information on the internet is a scam.
90% of the people that surf the net don't check out what is posted as fact.
Most believe what is posted on a good looking site as fact.
.2% believe that there is some stranger in Nigeria that wants to send them millions.
