Iran has confronted US in Persian Gulf

LONDON, April 12 (IranMania) - A report claims Iranian boats engaged a US warship in the Persian Gulf 'in a taunting manner', echoing previous accusations against Tehran, PressTV reported.

Three small Iranian boats approached the USS Typhoon late Thursday, CNN television reported on Friday.

According to the report, at least one of the Iranian boats came 'within 200 yards' of the US Navy ship, claiming that the incident prompted 'the crew onboard the Typhoon to fire a warning flare'.
