I can vouch for this one. I joined a poker league last year and after a little while, invited the wife to play too. Its great, once a week, we go out and have drinks and a really fun time playing poker.

Hmmmmmmmmmm......... Maybe keep her mouth closed, and her opinions to herself. Listen without complaining. Grab me a beer whenever I want. Understands that the only channel on TV is ESPN....... Yep, that just might work!

Ok, Ok, I don't really feel like that. Be spontaneous. Have a great sense of humor, and understand my BS. Be smart and strong. If you don't like something, just say it, no need for the 'silent treatment'. Be honest. That's a darn good start in my opinion.

I've done everyone of the above listed, and yes they do work...
problem was, he never kept me happy!
8 years of wasted time...
I never felt the love I thought I deserved!

For the record... I do lots of sweet things for my wife.
It has to go both ways... you must give and take.

I will admit I have a wonderful husband (most of the time hee hee)

I'm left little love notes from time to time tucked away
in creative and different places everytime.

He give me wonderful back rubs!

Compliments me often.

Helps with the dishes and the laundry.

I'm sure there's more but I'm a bit tired from working OT and had to make dinner.

Which brings up one negative....I wish he would do is learn to cook so when
I work late he could surprise me with a nice dinner. Heck, I'd even settle for carryout or pizza.

Those are definately some good ones!

I think a lot of it comes down to a few things, but the most important is mood. If your in a good mood it is so easy to keep a loving and fun marraige. Im sure most of the girls here can agree with that.

You have to not let the little things "get ya down" and find a job you actually enjoy. So after your both home for the evening you actually get along like it was a weekend. And if you work opposite shifts then the little time you have together should be even more enjoyable. If your happy smile wont make him smile at least once in a while then maybe its already too late.

Its always nice to come home from a long exhausting day to a happy woman. Instantly changes my mood and usually turns out to be a pretty fun night /winkwink.

I know this sounds really shallow...

But give it up ANYTIME he wants it.

That would be 24/7 in my guys case and that's just insane!

WOW, an couple on ATS, now thats love!!!! I'm just saying usually the hubby or the wife are in two totally different things....but it seems you and you wife found common ground on ATS...

...sooo do you make your kids where Tin Foil Hats? j/k!! Myth: All members on ATS are crazy. Fact: Only a little bit...

I find that some girls get really annoyed if you try to play gentlemen, they find it as belittling and sometime even me asserting dominance....girls are soooo complicated...lol...you don't give them enough attention they nag at you, you give them too much attention and they get annoyed by you....conclusion: find the middle way...lol

I don't want to get banned. So i'll say "personal relations" everyday. That keeps me real, real happy.
