You dont know that. God shows us that with Adam and Eve.... He created them pure and without fault - then he brought rules in the game... saten came along and started tempting them and we live with the result of their decisions - Satens rebellion came out just like a teenager would rebel against their parents.

God makes the rules.... he doesnt have to rebel... he is perfect in every way - you should know this.

God waited until the last 2000 or so years of human evolution to give us his religion???

ya, makes sense......why not...just let the children go on their way without guidance for century after century, then come in and say, hey, you're doing it all wrong, this is how it should be done, and then, when they get confused or don't believe ya, well send them to hell!!

why not, he's God, he can do whatever he wants, right?

no, he never brought religion to us, we made up religion. He brought Jesus Christ and man has rejected him ever since. Blame man, not God. Free will is a wonderful thing.
