SWINXS - Getting your kids used to RFID!

Wow - I just saw this on "The Gadget Show" (UK TV - Ch 5). It's a new toy which requires kids to have to wear RFID bracelets, and the central unit then tells them what to do as part of a game.

Does anyone else here think this is kind of creepy or is it just me!?

I wouldn't be concerned about that thing if I wasn't aware of RFID's eventual intended use was.

It looks like it would be pretty frickin cool for kids. I dunno, it's a lot better for them than video games. So I mean, if we only let it get to a certain point, I think RFID will be very useful, but with this kind of technology comes vigilance.

If we're not willing to be aware, then we really deserve what we let our own technology evolve into.
