Hang on... who gave the nod for the PLA to march with the torch? This march took place on the streets of London, not in the Chinese Embassy; Chinese authorities have no jurisdiction over British streets. A detachment from the Met should have been sufficient - no need for special 'attendants'.

OK...I dont agree with how china is or how its run, but the olympics are about peace. About all the worlds people coming together, havin a big party, and seein how has the best athletes. If people didnt want it to be in china, they should have voted for a change of venue or whatnot. But no one did, so its over. we will have to deal with it. Allowing the Olympics to take place in China doesnt mean we agree with how china is run, it means that we believe in peace and all people in this world truly being equal.

The olympics in recent years are just about who can sneak the most steroids past the drug detectors and act like the biggest barbarian. No one needs a freaking display of physical prowess in today's world, all these career athletes who compete in the Olympics and organized sports are doing is perpetuating the barbarism that spawns war and vile actions in the world.

In a Utopian society, people who become career athletes would be executed, along with the rest of societies ilk, to keep the IQ level high enough to get off this rock.
