In all of history nations have been conquered by other nations. The conquering nations then have the right to all the resources of the conquered. The United States has basically just conquered and is now occupying the nation of Iraq. Why then is it not our right to utilize the resources of Iraq to our own benefit. We, as in, you and me, have spent billions and billions of dollars not to mention the cost of life and limb of many of our patriotic citizens to conquer this country. AS we are now in control of this country we should be shipping every ounce of oil produced in this country to ourselves or at a minimum be reaping the profits from this oil to pay back the American people for the costs associated with this war.

Iraq is now a territory of the United States and as such the oil belongs to us. You want the price of gas to come down; here it is we should be being flooded with free oil from Iraq. What’s the problem?

What you are referring to is "imperialism". Expanding our empire isnt something the US has ever really been interested in since we got to 50 states. If we were then we'd own Japan and the south Pacific along with some parts of Europe.

We invaded Iraq for ____________(fill in the blank with whatever suits yoru fancy)
