Believe or not there seems to be a few reasons why we find aliens compelling.

Here's a list. Feel free to add to it:

1. Feeling 'unseen agents' are at work in our lives;
2. Hoping to have something 'more powerful' save our planet;
3. Feelings of fear and uncertainty are stimulating;
4. Result of getting caught up in science fiction type topics;
5. Part of enjoying the exotic, unusual and strange (similar to #4);
6. Sought as an explanation for unexplained experiences;
7. Used as a way to bring credibility or attention to 'experiencer';
8. Adopted as the current, or popular explanation for unusual events;
9. Everybody's doing it. In vogue;
10. Actual belief, based on personal paranormal experience.

Thoughts? Additions?

They have a cold calculating science that is just scary to some others are hyper.

I think every existance is an angle to live longer or breathe from a different angle of perception therefore what we may call bad is nothing more then another viewpoint of perception one day humans will be part of.

Either by branching off into different bodies or just renewing their knowledge on the kingdom of the Divine Principle.

1.Their apparent existence challenge any idea we had of Christianity (or potentially other religions) – the creation of the world – the divinity – salvation through Jesus. What if the ET’s are our spiritual salvation – does that make any religion feasible?

2. We are a curious bunch – secrets make the ET thing unbearable over time as we search for the truth. Some people make this search their lives. Either way, there is a 50 / 50 chance that they exist against they don’t. If they don’t, who is making the commotion and what are THEY covering up / if they do, what does this spell for the human race? Either way, there are questions that need answering.

3. We are not the ‘dominant’ force in our own existence. That makes us feel second best to another kind – history shows us that that does not bode well for humans.

4. Evidence of their existence has not derived from a global source (collection of nations leaders simultaneously etc) therefore our intuition tells us it’s a cover-up - what is covered needs to be dug up – its in our nature, (relates to 2). Unfortunately You tube, ATS, the Livingmoon.com etc etc do not count as official evidence - sorry.

5. We therefore have been lived a lie – through school telling us what happened, why it happened and when it happened (all without the addition of the ET thing which happens to be the single greatest thing we could not have learnt). We have not learnt it because in the eyes of officialdom, they do not exist.

This leaves sceptics against believers – sound familiar?

Can’t think of any more at the moment. Sorry of any of these align with the above Badge. Just my thinking out loud.

Hi Badge01, interesting thread,
and strrd.
Some thoughts of me.

How old are their civilizations?
There overall mystery.
There magic like technology.
The as claimed different races and therefore different looks.
There hidden agenda’s, so the real reasons why they are here?
Are some humans from our future?
Are some from our universe?
Are some from another dimension?
Are one or more our creators?
