The Evils Ones birthday is coming up torward the end of the month. That's right. Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889. I know that there is nothing that we can do to change history and what evil this man helped to perpetrate on humanity. The evidence is all around us and his legacy and name still cause nightmares to some. I am, however, curious to hear what others think may have happened had Hitler been accepted into Art school in Vienna or had died on the Western Front during the First World War. Would he have become a famous artist? Or would Hitler have turned out to be a nicer person had his father not been so abusive to him? Would someone else have risen up to lead the Nazi Party to prominence, or would the Nazi's have remained a small fringe party with a racist/socialistic progam. Like I said, I know we can't change history, but sometimes I myself wonder if things would have turned out any different if Hitlers youth and early adulthood had been any different.

As bad as hitler was, and he was the Evilest man I can think of off the top of my head, there are some things we would not have had he not been around. Like volkswagen, and the scientific stuff his scientists came up with. Had he been an accomplished artist, or at least not a pansy, I'm sure he may have turned out ok. he could have led germany to a better outcome than erradicating people based on looks or religion.

The world could have turned out a lot differently considering all your scenarios. You just left one out. Consider how differently the world might be if he was never born at all!

I have to admit, I never remembered when his birthday was before your post, and I think I'd like to keep it that way. No offense meant towards you!

If it weren't for Hitler we'd all be speaking russian in europe. And he did help save Finland so at least he did something good.

Talking about Hitler not being born is non-productive, because it's evident that without him, the events would have happened sooner or later.

Germany was an imperialist nation and they had the 'go get it' to militarize and organize their population.

However consider that if the war had happened even a year later, the consequences would have been disastrous. Japan and Germany were very close to developing a nuke themselves. If not for Hitler, we might not have the world we do today.

But, of couse, you never know. Having an organized country like Germany take over the world could have turned out to be a good thing.

2 cents.

I hadn't thoght of the possibility you mentioned, and it's a very valid one. And I don't take offense at the other suggestion you had about me mentioning his birthday. I should have been a bit more considerate myself.
