Would you feel safe with a Military Police state?

How safe would you feel in a military police state if the government would impose one at some time? Do we need a military police state?

I don't think imposing an MP is a very smart idea. If the government did do that, think how many riots and such would occur. The MP would be overpowered.

Which country are you talking about?

The US? Couldn't be done. Not enough manpower. Canada? Ditto, in spades. Australia? Doubleditto. Costa Rica? No army there. Britain? Nah. No manpower, though smaller area makes it easier. Belgium? I'll let my friend U-P answer that one. New Zealand? Don't think it's possible, mate.

You might be able to set one up in a small country if you had a large standing army and no organized force of rebels (or disorganized force of rebels.) So far, efforts to maintain police states around the world have generally failed.
