Big Oil before congress: If you take away our 18bn tax breaks, gas prices will go up.

Big oil's profits are disgusting, for sure. But compared to most other
everyday items, gas prices haven't gone up as much, in 30 years. Not
that i like the price going up at all- (I just down-sized to a 4 cyl. vehicle!)

Don't know if i'm older or younger than most of the posters here, but gas
went over $1.oo/ a gal. at the pump in 1979! I was working as a gas
pumper (petroleum transfer technician) then, and saw them frantically
replacing the old rotary-numeral pumps (that only showed a maximum
price of .99 cents) to the higher-tech digital read-out type, that could go
up to unlimited pricing!

Bought a new bicycle, and been riding it to the store, and post office, and
other close-by places, and having a ball!

I'm just praying that i don't get run-over by a GAS-GUZZLER! lol
