NEW YORK — A BB&T Capital Markets analyst said Monday corn rationing may be necessary this year, following a U.S. Department of Agriculture report predicting farmers would plant far fewer acres of corn in 2008.

A bunch of talk recently on the possibly of shortages in food and rationalizing of food stuffs. Now they are saying corn will be rationalized. HMMMMM.... I wonder how much they will end up giving to ethanol production?
Since corn is such a big player, I wonder if this happens, it will lead to other things being rationalized and to people starting to horde in panic.
I will be interested to see the size of planted crops on the farms in my area. Something I will definitely keeping an eye on.
