Can this possibly be real? I believe it to be. I am absolutely floored by the needed intelligence and comprehention involved to do such a thing. I always knew they were smart but this is almost unbelievable. And we are hunting these things in to extention.....


Didnt really know where to post this, so if its appropriate somewhere else, perhaps it could be moved??

Oh, its real all right, but not for the reason you think.

It is precisely because these animals are so intelligent that it was able to do that. I shudder to think what the poor animal went through to be trained to accomplish that task.

Do you think it has more to do with repetitious training than intelligence?

I am sure that elephants do not have an innate ability to paint themselves, but both are true. Since the elephant is intelligent, it could be trained to do such a thing.
