In my dream today I had brocolli growing out of my chest. 4 stalks creating a chest plate of brocolli. About 1 foot by 1 foot. 6 inches tall. I thought about going to the dr but then I read how to remove it myself. So I took a knife and cut each stalk to remove the chest plate of brocolli. Didn't hurt either.

I removed it and seen that I had lots of little stalks of brocolli ready to grow up in its place.

Grossed me out. Has me grossed out now. I hardly remember my dreams anymore but I can't forget this one. Wants to make my skin crawl.

Now, why in the world, did I dream this???

Theres been a rash of strange dreams lately, I think...I've been having weird ones too...

Have you been eating your broccoli?

Not sure why but you need to go buy some brocolli, cook it up and eat it..lol. Overcome the fear of it right away before you do find yourself laying on some guys couch for $200 an hour...

Then tape the left overs to your chest, take a pic and post it on here for us to see...that way we know the vision you were having and with us laughing at it, it may ease your worry and stop the fear of becoming a veggi...

Not lately. I like brocolli. Just haven't eaten any lately. Not sure I can eat any after having a dream like that.

Nice idea. If I don't get over this soon, I may have to try that.

Dude, that's creepy.
Are you overwhelmed at school/work?

Are you Vegan?
Was there no cauliflower with the broccoli?
Did you go to sleep hungry?

Are you a fan of George Senior?

Don't worry. Broccoli comes from the ground, not people's chests.

Bottom line...if something is STARTING to freak you out...take it head on...overcome it...all on your own....no need to let something get to far out of hand. The picture idea is to add humor to it...believe it or not..humor and laughing at yourself alittle involving the item/idea in question that you fear is a quick and easy way to come to grips with it and move on.......

Could be worse...it could of been tomatos....and they made a movie about how those things can KILL...so be glad...be very very glad...lol

Not overwhelmed.

I'm not a vegan although I have recently thought about no longer eating meat.

No cauliflower. That would have been gross too. I like it. Just not growing out of my chest.

Didn't go to sleep hungry. Did have some junk food though before bed time.

George who?

Dark greens are good, very good for your body. Keep eating Broccoli!

Might be your body is trying to tell you what you need via dreams.

And I believe he is referring to Dubya's Dad.

I do not like broccoli. And I haven't liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli.

For the record, this is the first time I have ever dreamed of food growing out of my body.

Has anyone else ever had a dream like this?

After kind of waking up and dosing back off I dreamed I threw the brocolli in a pan. In a playful sort of way. Didn't eat it though.

Then I dreamed that I was hunting down a blue scorpion that had gotten away.

I may be a fat kid, but I have never once dreamed of food :O

I think it'd be funny to have a dream like that. then youd have the SPCBP (society for prevention of cruelty to broccoli products)

I had the oddest of dreams this morning. It involved a large dog and the person didn't have anything to pick up the mess, and I came to the rescue.

Then I found myself with other people trying to get the shopping in, and looking for my husband. There was so much more, and the dog one is too gross to go into, but you get the gist of the scenario.

I found myself in a supermarket where I have never been and had money where I didn't have to worry how much I spent on shopping (now that really is a dream-as I have to worry about every penny that goes out on shopping). It really made no sense whatsoever.

Also, in some of my dreams I get fragments of dreams that I have had before intertwined.

For a while, I had these strange dreams of hospitals being in department stores and sometime later, the government in the UK proposed putting surgeries (doctors clinics) in supermarkets.

No matter how bizarre my dream they seem to be telling me of some event before it happens.

I think I know what the dog scenario means, and I think I understand the rest of it.

It is just the shopping bit that I haven't worked out yet.

Mmm. Interesting you should ask. Interesting dream, too. It immediately struck a chord with me. It was familiar.

Yes, I've had a dream like it, very much like it. To the point I could 'feel' the stuff growing out of me, in the same way you can 'feel' your fingers, hands, etc. are part of you, even though they may be lying limp. With me it was the chest region too. Ages ago. But as soon as I read your post, I got the 'feeling' back of having the vegetation things growing out of me.

It's weird but fascinating, isn't it ? Do you find your mind keeps returning to it ? Even though it creeps you out, it's sort of addictive .. or at least you might find that as time goes on.

Another one of mine is seed type formations ... clumps of them, similar to the inside of a pumpkin. I cut a pumpkin in half last week and as I started to scoop the seeds out, they all fell out in a clump. They were all aligned the same direction for some reason, lying on the cutting board. It was the way they lay there, hundreds of them, uniform, connected. Almost made me gag.

Don't know what's going on. The 'seed' thing has been happening more frequently lately. It's connected in my mind with 'growths'. That's all I know at present. And it's simultaneously gross and repellent, yet somehow it 'draws' me .. fascinates me.

After heavy rains a few months ago, I noticed something out of place in the very neat, raised garden beds. Pointed it out to other family members. When the rain stopped, we went to investigate. Discovered a large patch of hideous fungi. Brown, 'brain' looking stuff, with corrugations. Everyone said 'Yuk'. Bravest one got a shovel to remove it. Came away in chunks. Absolutely revolting. Sounds stupid, but it was sort of alarming to find this stuff had grown so large in our own garden. Probably completely ordinary event. But it was the 'look' of it that disturbed. Again, a weird sort of 'familiar' feeling.

I've been getting that feeling from odd things, such as the seed-mass from inside Rockmelon (think they're called papaya in US). It's the uniformity of the seeds and they way they're in a mass. Sort of similar to bees when they completely cover bee-keepers for tv shows. They're alive .. they're all the same .. and they 'all over' someone -- seething, crawling.

It's only recently that I've begun to notice my own reaction to these ordinary events. For example, was watching a cookery programme on tv the other night. The compere was on a boat with a local fisherman, to gather oysters. The oyster 'farm' was near the Mediterranean and the locals lowered ropes or wires, then pulled them up again after about a year to harvest the oysters which had attached to the wires. As the fisherman pulled up the wires, there were thousands of oysters, all attached to each other. Interspersed were sponge-type growths. It had the same effect on me as the fungi and the vegetable seeds. And now I think of it ... fungi, oysters, seeds -- they're all uniform -- many identical units forming a whole --- and parasitic, at least in the case of the fungi and oysters.

The vegetation growing out of the chest is the same .. uniformity amongst the parasitic organism. And it's that part which revolts yet fascinates. Because these things, whether brocolli as in your case, or oysters or fungi .. they're alive. And they live on / in a host.

When I had the vegetation thing growing out of me in the dream or whatever, I remember being embarrassed .. didn't want others to see it. Like you, I was trying to get it off me. But even though the tops could be removed, the 'roots' remain, growing in you.

I'm wondering now if some people are receiving 'early warning' about a parasitic growth type 'plague' that will be foisted on populations in the future. I'm thinking now of Morgellans and how sufferers have 'things' living in them which are resistant to removal.

Here's something else creepy and along the same lines. Years ago, we met a woman who became a family friend. She told us that when her son was younger, he contracted a disease from a water bubbler at school. Don't know if you have them in the US --- they're basically water fountains for drinking from. Press down a lever, and water bubbles up from usually a rounded stainless steel knob in the middle of a bowl. They used to have them in most schools years ago. Don't know if they still do.

Anyway, our friend's son became very ill. At the time, no-one realised he'd caught a disease from the water-bubbler. He had soaringly high temperature, hallucinations, etc. etc. They put him in a local hospital but when he didn't improve, they sent him to a city hospital. His condition worsened to the point the priest was sent for, apparently. His mother told us that the entire inside of his mouth and down his throat as far as you could see ... was white, hairy fungus. It gets worse. The fungus was quite thick. And it came off in chunks. This is a little kid of about eight. He had to have assisted breathing, etc. None of the antibiotics the doctors administered had the slightest effect.

Then, by an unbelievable stroke of Fate, a visiting specialist learned of the situation. Apparently, the specialist was on a four day fly-over on his way to Japan or somewhere. He was from the US and his specialisation was tropical-diseases. After examining the boy, he said the disease was called Angelitis. He said he hadn't seen any cases for decades. He cured the boy. Then began the investigation to discover how the boy had contracted the disease. The only known cases of Angelitis known to have occurred in this country were US servicemen who'd been in Australia in WW2. Yet the boy lived 100 kilometres from where the US soldiers had been billeted.

Finally, after examining everything in the boy's home and school, they investigated the water-bubbler in the schoolyard. And in minute crack in the bubbler, they discovered where the Angelitis had come from.

It seems that US servicemen on leave must have travelled to the town where the boy's school was located (a beachside tourist area) and one or more of those US servicemen must have been infected with Angelitis and must have drunk from the bubbler. In other words, the germ had remained deep in the bubbler for approx. 50 years and .. who knows .. must have broken free after all that time, and infected this one boy. No-one else at the school had caught the disease.

But it's the disease itself which is horrifying ... white hairy fungus/fungi which grows and covers the entire inside of the sufferer's mouth, tongue, throat .. and comes off in CHUNKS, only to regrow again very quickly. Nightmare time.

Wow .. what a weird post

Why yes, I dreamt of a huge kielbasa growing from my....well, you know, down there.

Seriously, have you, a family member, or acquaintance, recently had issues with warts? Or an odd mole?

That is weired. As for the brocolli being a part of me...even though it was growing out of me, it didn't hurt when I cut it off. Like the hair on our heads. You can't feel that even though it's there.

Yes my mind keeps returning to it. But I want to forget it. Makes me go "yuck" when I think about it. I remember being repulsed in my dream too.

Maybe I am turning into a vegetable. Too much time at the computer. MAybe I should be more active. Maybe that's what my dream is telling me?
