Alright well I joined to see what twitter was all about (biggiesmallsats) .

I'm still a little confused what exactly it is, but I'll test it out. Why not right?

I've joined up too. Of course Jenna was already taken, it usually is. So I'm Jennamarae on there.

I just joined looks pretty cool. I may start something like this for my own site too. Great idea ATS as usual.

One was: If you are warned or banned on 'Twitter,' are you also, as same on ATS?

Do the points assigned on Twitter also show up on your ATS points system? Or are they different?

I think I got it.
ATS (S.O.) signs you up as a friend.
So what you post here (if I get it right) shows up there.

Is that basically how it works? So all ATS members become friends whose comments will then show up in Twitter.

I suppose this would be good for Twitter as there would be more 'content' then just the regular, "hey dude...just hanging around" post that you would get from a friends comment, say in Myspace or something.

Good for ATS as well as more people would be bound to want to read something with more content in it as well.

I've joined as JeepGal. (Natch!) I'm following ATS and I'm following SO and Asala. But I can't check it from work to see if anyone is following me. (Stupid firewall and group policy!) Is that the goal? To have people follow you?

(Or is the goal the 5000 points, which I am sorely in need of!)

Also, is it just me or does it seem disjointed as the site updates? For example, I can see Asala's responses to people as I follow her, but I can't see what they have said first.

Anyways, I am following ATS, and a few others I recognized.. I personally love seeing the pictures of ATS members.. it broadens how diverse we are.. you can see my sexy self on the tweeter now.

So all you on there, send me a Tweet! .. I am very tweetable and enjoy getting tweets from other twitters! (I still hate the word Tweet but cannot stop saying it) its like a drug.. I will soon be addicted to both.. ATS will soon be talking to lawyers to pay for my rehab..

And the point of Twitter is quite litterally to tell people what your doing.. I thought it would be more complicated then that, but that is the essentials of the site.. for instance..

We've heard talk of so called points, but so far no visual confirmation.

So let me get this right.
In order to see someones tweet you have be Following that person.
And in order for people to see your tweets they have to be following you. So ideally if there are 57 followers on ATS you should be following at least 57 people in order to see what everyone has to say..(using the with others button)
Which is all well and good at this piont..
But once it gets up to 1k plus followers you really wouldn't want to have the telephone messaging function turned on..

Don't follow everyone. I only follow the members I know or would like to know. Most I know from ATS Chat, an underused feature of ATS. I highly doubt that over 1k members will sign up on ATS Twitter anyways, the number of active members signed on in a months span probably isnt even 1k .. and the number actually posting even lower. Good way to get a good glimps of this is in the e-mail notifying a thread like this one it says this u2u was sent to (insert number) active in the past 15+days.

But anyways. I wouldn't want to have every ATS member on my follow list. I can hardly stand having ATS as a followee .. it spams twitter and you loose other members comments.

I mean.. if I want to see what ATS is doing..

I will go check Recent Posts. If I want to see what ATS members are doing.. I will check Twitter...

Look at the stats on the bottom of the board home page.
