No, I think it's just that there are fewer database-punishing normal searches, and more of the efficient boolean searches.

The new search rulez. And it's smoking fast too!

Props to all those who contributed to his creation.

I couldn't get it to find anything, last time I tried it. It didn't seem to work too well. I think it was also showing parse errors, IIRC.

What were you searching for?

Nevermind. It seems fine now. It must've just been that day. Maybe you were still fine tuning it? I don't remember what I was searching for, but it wasn't finding things I knew were there. Seems ok now, though.

Well, maybe I'm not using it right?

For example, do a username search and try to find this post of mine.

"Yep! It looks just like him!"

Use any combo of keywords you want, and it still comes up with nothing, so it seems.
This is what I was talking about. I've used it to try to find specific phrases I knew I'd used, and came up with nothing.

It's not yet searching for matches in thread titles.

That was a post, not a thread title. Another example; type in "Mars" or "Martian" and "UFO", and see if you find even one instance of the story I just posted that got locked, since it's supposedly been posted many times today. I sure couldn't find anything, even when I knew what I was looking for.
