My 3000th post. Actually 10000, now...

Well it took a while, but its my 3000th post. Hooray, hooray, hooray.

I thought it might be fun to look back at my two plus years at ATS.

In the past two years I've learned, to my shock sometimes, that I'm both a born again Christian and neoconcervative, and a flaming liberal who doesn't believe in God. Hmmmm...

I've also learned that because of the color of my skin, I'm a racist. But that I am also openminded. Hmmmm...again.

Most importantly, I've learned that whilst I disagree with many of you about just about everything, I've also learned that I can discuss those things calmly and rationally. For that I thank you. Disagreements and all.

I've found some good people, with whom I can talk about most anything, and have a good time doing it. To those I give thanks...you know who you are. I've also run across some with whom an agreement will never ever take place, yet our discussions (arguments) are always civil and entertaining. Maybe someday the twain shall meet...hope springs eternal.

To all the members: Thanks, it's been, and hopefully will remain, fun.

Congratulation's on your 3000th post. It's an honor, I'm sure, to have been a member of ATS that long. I will hit 300 posts myself with this one. So I have a ways to go before I get to 3000 myself. Anyway, congratulations again. I hope you have a lot more post's in you.

Although it has taken you a while to get there!

But then your posts tend to be well written informative works, personally I prefer the juxtaposition of shoot from the hip, do not engage brain before thinking style!

Seems to be a lot of that going around where this thread is concerned. At the rate you and I are going 10000 posts will occur around 2012. The worlds gonna end remember?

My, my... That is so cool. Still waaaay behind Intrepid, but meh...someday I'll catch him. OK, I don't believe that either....

So...to recap. I joined ATS just over four years ago, and was instantly hooked...and been here virtually everyday since.

Still being told I'm many things, the latest being a closet dwelling christian, or was that a christian hating moderator? One loses track after a while....

Anyway, it's been a fun filled excursion into the thought processes of thousands of people all over the world...differing viewpoints, and the experiances that brought about those viewpoints. The learning hasn't stopped, nor does it show any sign of doing so anytime soon... For that, I thank you all.
